(So here's the self indulgent fluff that absolutely no one asked for 💖)

His collected demeanor completely collapses whenever you break the news to him. Although he is excited, it's the first time in a while he feels genuine fear.

Seeing as he doesn't like not being in control, you can guarantee tiny existential breakdowns and you can also count on having to snap him out of it.

Throughout the pregnancy he goes back and fourth between being excited and terrified. One could even say he got the mood swings and not you.

As silly as it may sound, the dovahkiin's newfound stress leads him to a vice he's never explored before. Stress eating. So while you grow in size, he might grow a little bit too and it frustrates him to no end.

The further long you get, the more he starts pulling himself together thankfully, realizing that your child's arrival was drawing near.

Despite his fear, he still does come out of himself enough to be attentive. Besides, if he loves and trusts you enough to impregnate you, he already holds you near and dear to what's left of the tender side of himself. He'll go as far as giving you massages and enforcing bed rest in the last month.

Once the child is delivered his protectiveness goes through the roof and if the baby isn't in your arms, they best better be in his. He refuses to let his baby out of his sight for a while, much less into the arms of a wet nurse or midwife.

(Though not completely correct in lore) If somehow your child came to inherit the dragon blood like the two of you, miraak will be ecstatic. Finally another person he can share his knowledge with, plus the idea of riding his dragons with you and his babe makes him very happy. Especially since one day he knows his child will be able to tame a dragon of their very own.

He insists on teaching them common tongue and dovahzul at the same time which leaves a lasting affect on your child's speech. Rendering them with an accent much like their father's.

Will lovingly call your child nicknames in dovahzul and read them all the story books their heart desires (even if books make him shudder after being freed) Will also song for your baby.

Really good at braiding hair and will be delighted to braid your child's if they ask.

Is a pretty stern parent when it comes to obeying rules and certain principals, but other than that...he gets into a lot of trouble with his baby. (Shouting ice form at cows and tipping them as a form of entertainment)

Like I mentioned before, he can bake and loves to do so, so you can expect braided bread and whatever treat your child wants to be served up almost daily.

Once they get old enough he will train them in magic, combat and thu'um alike, only hoping to give them the capability to defend themselves in a capricious world.

He denies it but he is a huge pushover.
