They evacuated the block surrounding the house and made sure any civilians were safe, the song had roughly around 1 minute left and jay and Hank made their way back up to the room to check on Ivy.  "Ivy? How you doing in there?" Hank said calmly.  "I'm fine for now Sarge but it's only got about 45 seconds left" she panicked and warned them.  Jay shot Hank a worried look, "Ivy try and take cover anyway you can" jay said frantically as Voight pushed jay out of the house to protect themselves.

The song sounded one last time but this time the unit were no where near the house, Ivy was all alone and probably scared to death.

Ivy scanned the room but the only way she could take cover was by hiding in a heavy metal files cabinet, she checked the timer and it had 20 seconds left.  She quickly pulled out the drawer continents and got inside before closing it.  She was crammed but she had some cover at least.  The sound blasted loudly throughout the speakers as the song came to the final high note.

The unit were painstakingly stood waiting for the nightmare to happen, they felt guilty for leaving her but they had no choice.  Jay was pacing out of worry, the music came to a blunt end and there was a moment of silence before a huge boom came from the house.  The windows shattered and the doors caved in as a huge cloud dusty smoke filled the air, the unit fell to the floor on impact since the floor shook beneath them.  "Is everybody okay?!" Hank shouted.  The team scrambled up to their feet and nodded, "Sarge..." jay looked at Hank in fear since the explosion was bigger than they had expected it to be.

Jay went to run inside the house but the unit pulled him back, "Jay! I know your scared and worried but we don't know if there's anything else going on in there" Hank said ordering him to stand by.  Jay obeyed his bosses orders but paced again due to nerves.

Truck 81, squad 3 and ambo 61 all rolled up just in time.  "Severide, Casey.  We got a detective inside, top floor end of the hallway" Hank explained the situation.  Casey nodded, "it doesn't look like there's a fire, I'll go in" he agreed before putting on his oxygen mask.  "Herman, come on" he said before the two fire fighters ran inside to find Ivy.

Jay and the unit Waited nervously, they expected the worst news possible, they all thought that since they were knocked to the ground, there was no way Ivy could've survived the blast.

"Fire department, call out!" Casey shouted as he got to the top of the stairs.  Hank had told him that she was in the last room down the hall but the top floor was full of ashy smoke and the doors and walls weren't exactly in tact anymore.  There was no answer straight away so he called out again as himself and Herman walked further into the hall, "Fire department, call out!" He shouted again but this time they heard something.

They looked around trying to find where the muffled shouting and banging on metal was coming from until they found the room.  "Chief we got her!" Casey shouted into his radio.

Chief Boden held his radio tight as he waited for an update, he released his grip when he heard good news.  Jay and the unit were all looking between the house and boden, "she's alive" he confirmed to jay and the Hank.

Jay crouched down to the floor in relief, "oh thank god" he huffed while standing back up to face Hank.  Voight also sighed and threw his head back in relief before patting jays shoulder with a smile. The unit all hugged jay in relief, Ivy hadn't even been with them for long but to them it felt like she'd been with them for years.

"Ivy?!" Casey shouted out since he could hear her but not see her.  "I'm in here!" She muffled and banged on the cabinet.  Casey shot Herman a shocked look, the cabinet was tiny, it was a miracle she even fit into it.  "Hold on, we'll get you out" Herman shouted while grabbing some pliers to straighten out the drawer door so it would open.  Once the drawer door was somewhat back to its normal shape Herman pulled it out onto the wooden floor and Ivy clambered out of it and rolled on the floor.  "Ivy you good?!" Casey said while staring at her.  She coughed from all the smoke but nodded, "I've had better days but yeah I'm good" she joked.  Herman laughed at her humour and Casey shook his head while smiling before helping her up.

Casey helped her outside as she coughed and gasped for fresh air, "Ivy!" Jay shouted as he ran over to her.  She made it onto the grass and jay picked her up immediately, "oh god, I thought you were dead..." jay said straight up without letting her go.  He put her down on the floor but held her in a hug still.  She laughed and coughed again while looking up at him, "I'm fine jay, you ain't getting rid of me yet" she said before pulling his forehead down to hers. Casey and Herman were stood behind her with shocked faces, Hank noticed them and he also noticed how Ivy didn't even have a scratch on her. "How comes she's still in tact?" He whispered to the lieutenant.

Casey looked at jay and Ivy who were holding each other, "she was inside of a metal filing cabinet, I don't know how she got into it but she did. If that wasn't there then she'd be dead, no doubt about it..." he said in seriousness. Hank nodded and thanked them for helping them, "let's get you checked out in the ambo" sylvie said while looking at her in shock.

Jay walked Ivy over to the ambo even though she was fully capable of doing it herself, he was too scared to let her out of his sight. "I gotta ask, how the hell did you survive that?" Sylvie asked while checking her lung sounds. Ivy laughed and looked at jay who was also waiting for an answer, "there was a metal filing cabinet in the corner, I got inside of a drawer..." she said while coughing. Jay looked proudly at her and flashed a smile. "Alright, well you don't even have a battle scar to tell the tale. You're all good, just make sure you drink plenty of water" sylvie said impressed with a smile. Ivy smiled back, "thanks sylvie" she said while jumping off down from the ambo ramp.
