Request: Please make ANY kind of Regulus Black x reader (Y/N, female) imagine?

A.N: I wouldn't normally do Regulus but you guys seem to really enjoy the chapters I've done with him in it so... I hope this was okay? Also I apologise in advance if this doesn't make complete sense, I'm incredibly tired but can't sleep.

------------

Potions couldn't go any slower. The classroom was warm from where it's in the dungeons, you were tried from lack of sleep and to top it all off Rosier wouldn't leave you alone. The guy honestly didn't know when to quit. It was always "hey Y/n this, hey Y/n that." And they were never nice things either.

So while you tried your best to ignore Rosier, who was now laughing at something his friends were showing him, you focused your attention on Slughorn as he spoke to the class. But even that was a difficult task because your brain just wasn't retaining any of the information he saying. Releasing a heavy sigh you rested your head on your desk, making sure you could still see the Professor.

Marlene was sat beside you, her hand resting on your shoulder mentally telling you it was okay. After all there wasn't that long left of the lesson and you had a free period next so you could go straight back to your dorm if you pleased.

The moment Slughorn signalled that it was the end of class, you were the first to pack your things and leave the room. Marlene tried to keep up with you but by the time she packed her things and left the dungeons herself you were gone.

------------

You didn't really have a destination in mind nor were you really paying attention to where you were heading. You just let your feet decide. Anywhere was better then in the presence of Rosier and his constant degrading words.

Your mind briefly thought about all the different places you could go for some alone time but ultimately you decided against them all. You still weren't a hundred percent sure where you wanted to go until the distinct sound of someone crying made you stop. It was muffled but you could hear it. You were close to the stairs near the clock tower.

Cautiously you followed the sound. To be honest you were intrigued now as to who was crying. Silently you made your way over to where the sound was coming from. And to your surprise it was a Slytherin. Despite only being able to see the top of his head from where he had his face buried into his knees you recognised him pretty quickly. Bearing in mind you had never officially met the kid but you were friends with his brother, Sirius.

"Reg?" You hesitantly ask. Your own troubles long forgotten. Upon hearing his name Regulus immediately wiped away the tears before looking to you.

"Yes?" He questioned back although his voice was hoarse from all the crying.

"What's wrong, are you okay?" In hindsight it was a stupid question to ask because he obviously wasn't okay but your mouth was on autopilot and so asked the question anyway.

The Slytherin stared at you for a moment before nodding his head. "I'm fine." He lied but you raised an eyebrow at him. You kept that expression until he finally broke eye contact with you and sighed, slouching his back again. Seeing this as your opportunity you moved to sit down beside him on the steps.

"I recieved a letter from my parents." Was all he managed to say before another sob escaped his lips again. You already had a feeling to what was in the letter so your suspicions were confirmed as Regulus continued.

"They're- they're going through with their plan on removing Sirius from the family inheritance. They've already disowned him, what more do they want?" He cried. "My mother has even burnt his name off the stupid family tree."

You knew about this, Sirius had already told you. Placing your arm across his shoulders you gently pulled him into a side hug. One he wasn't too fussed about. "Yeah I heard." You responded. "Sirius was telling me."

It went silent for a moment as Regulus managed to calm his tears and wipe away any stray ones. You can't say you truly understand and can relate to what Regulus was feeling and going through because you couldn't. You were a half blood- your mum being the witch in the family- so you've never had the issue of this. Taking a moment you spoke up. "I know I'm Sirius' friend and all but if you ever need someone I'm here for you. Whatever or whenever that maybe." You put out.

All Regulus found himself doing was staring at you as he pulled away from the hug. He was speechless at how kind you were being. Sirius was right. Ever since his brother spoke about you, that's all he's wanted to do was to meet you. But he's never had the chance to until now. And the be honest he wasn't disappointed one bit.

"I'd like that, thank you." He admits with a small smile. You smile back happy to help him.

"You're welcome." You chime back. Resting your hands in your lap you watch them for a second before Regulus speaks up.

"How did you find me anyway?" He asks glancing from your hands to your face.

"I was trying to find somewhere to be alone when I heard you crying." You explain, looking to him. He nods in understanding.

"Well you definitely found a quiet place to be alone in." He joked as he looked around the empty staircase. You doing the same as you smiled at the joke. "But why did you want to be alone? Did something happen?"

Glancing at him, you shook your head. "Oh it's nothing really. It's fine." You lied.

"Tell me." He insisted. You couldn't help but be reminded of Sirius when he said that. But still you shook your head because if you were being truthful, you found your issue with Rosier insignificant compared to Regulus' problem.

Unfortunately Regulus didn't see it that way and so much like his brother he persisted. "I told you my problem, now you tell me yours."

"Regulus that isn't-" You went to say but stopped when Regulus raised an eyebrow at you like you did eariler to him. You sighed. "I'm having some issues with Roiser." You informed him. "The guy wont leave me alone."

Regulus sat there staring straight ahead seeming to be in deep thought. "He's a jerk." He says suddenly.

"What?" You say shocked by his words.

"Rosier is a jerk. Always has been."

"Hang on, I thought you were friends with him?" You question furrowing your eyebrows. Regulus turned to you.

"I am." He shrugged. This made you laugh. Despite the differences between him and Sirius, you did see Sirius in him. "I'll have a word with him." Regulus smiled patting your shoulder.

"You would?"

"Of course." He confirmed. "Your my brother's friend and like I said Rosier is a jerk."

Thank you Reg." You smiled, grateful to have spoken to him. Deciding on standing up, Regulus gets up first before holding his hand out for you. Taking ahold of it you let him pull you up before you both dust your uniform off.

"I think the next time we talk, we need to find somewhere a little less cold." You state making Regulus laugh as you both make your way further into the castle.

"Agreed."
