Imagine: Sirius and James getting you into trouble for talking which winds you up in detention with them.

You only had one more lesson to go before the day was over and you could relax. However, the lesson was transfiguration with Professor MaGonagall. But that wasn't what bothered you, it was that you shared the lesson with James and Sirius. They rarely behaved during this lesson which always resulted with them getting a detention for it. But they always somehow manage to drag you down with them. That being said MaGonagall always let you off the hook claiming you were simply trying to get the boys to behave. That being the reason who were you to argue with a teacher?

Walking into the classroom you sat down at one of the desks towards the middle of the room. Pulling your books and writing equipment out you placed your bag at your feet.

The room soon filled with students all eager to learn. A part of you hoped that either James or Sirius was suddenly ill so they couldn't attent the lesson but you knew that wouldn't be the case as you had been with them the lesson before. Glancing at the door Remus and Peter came in as James and Sirius strolled in closely behind.

"Hey, Y/N!" Sirius greeted the moment he saw you. At this the others said hello and sat with you on neighbouring tables. Sirius sitting beside you and James sitting at the desk the other side.

"You better not drag me into anything today Sirius or I swear..." You threathen glancing at the black haired boy.

It took a moment but Sirius instantly knew what you were talking about. Not that he let on however. Smirking, he leant back into his chair. "Drag you into what?" He asked innocently pretending not to know.

"You know what Black." You pointed accusingly. "I've been friends with you for far too long to know how this lesson will play out." You added narrowing your eyes at him.

He chuckled leaning forward so his arms were now resting on the desk. "Oh that." He laughs seeming to suddenly remember what you were talking about. "Well I promise not to get you into trouble today." He promised flashing you a smirk.

Rolling your eyes at him you turned back to facing the front of the room. "We'll see." You mutter.

As the lesson progressed into the later stages of the period, MaGonagall gave the class the remaining time to work on the theory of the spell she'd be teaching in the next lesson. While the class were writing their notes in silence, MaGonagall also went on to talk about some of the techniques and important notes of the spell.

While she did this she wondered around the room, weaving through the uniform of desks, observing the class.

You were busy writing you notes when James' voice broke you out of your concentration.

"What in Merlin's name rhymes with Lily?" He muttered as he continued writing.

Glancing at him you shook your head before continuing with your work. "Does it count if I rhyme "Lily" with "Lily Flower"?" He added.

By this point MaGonagall had heard James talking which made her mentally sigh. Stopping between your desk and his she turned to him. "Please pay attention Mr. Potter." She begged.

Upon hearing the witch's voice James looked up from his book and smiled. "Of course professor."

Just as she was about to move on she stopped again and closed her eyes,  debating on giving him her opinion. "And no, it doesn't count."

Returning to the front of the room, James watched her leave before smiling like an idiot to Sirius. "Thank you professor."

The lesson continued in peace but not for long. This time it was Sirius. "What about Killy? That rhymes."

Groaning in annoyance you decided on speaking. "That doesn't count you idiot. All you did was replace the "L" with a "K"." You pointed out. Sirius just chuckled.

"So I did." He laughed.

"Yeah that doesn't count nor does it work." James agreed.

"Okay, what about kitty? Or city?" He carried on. "They rhyme."

Flicking your eyes to MaGonagall you made sure she wasn't looking in your direction before you speaking. "God have mercy." You muttered glancing at Sirius before turning to James.

"Try dreamy or pretty? They kind of rhyme. And I'm sure they work for whatever it is you're writing about Lily." Thinking about it James nodded in approval.

"Hey, that works. I like it." He smiled, a goofy grin, before turning back to his work presumably to write the words down so he wouldn't forget.

"Miss (Y/L/N). Detention." MaGonagall called staring directly at you. Sinking in your seat you sighed. Great.

Finding it funny both Sirius and James laughed. "Mr. Potter. Mr. Black. The same goes for you two. Detention after class." She ordered. "Again." She added not impressed.

Due to this being a reoccurring thing the boys just shrugged not overly bothered. You on the hand glared at the pair. "This is your fault."

"Hey, like I promised this time it wasn't me who got you into trouble." Sirius muttered smugly to you.

Glancing at him you raised your eyebrow. "You still helped."

Restraining yourself from adding to his ego you took a breathe before muttering to yourself. "Kill me."

"Hey, that rhymes!" Sirius pointed out rather loudly.

"Mr. Black!"
