Request: Can you do one where the reader (y/n) is sick and Remus is stuck taking care of them?

------------

You woke with a start. Well... an aching start. Your whole body ached from head to toe, your head was pounding, throat was sore, nose was running and your body temperature was high... like uncomfortably high. If you were being honest you didn't particularly want to move from your position on your bed but you knew you'd have to sooner or later.

So with that being the current and persistent thought in your head you reluctantly forced yourself to sit up. Slowly but surely you got yourself up and out of bed and to the bathroom with your chosen clothes for today.

Having gotten changed, which was a task in itself, you found yourself just staring into the mirror above the sink. Zoning out. With your bloodshot and heavy eyes, pale complexion and the thin layer of sweat beading your forehead you felt and looked like death himself. If that was even possible.

If you thought zoning out in the bathroom was bad enough, it got even worse when you zoned out in the common room. You didn't even remember leaving the bathroom let alone walking down the stone steps to the common room. Or stumbling as it appeared to be.

On the sofa by the fireplace was Remus reading his book. Well... he was reading his book but the sounds of you groaning while walking down the stairs then muttering to yourself when you tripped over your feet caught his attention.

"You look like crap." He commented looking over to you.

His voice spooked you causing you to jump slight. Looking in his direction your eyes squinted as your eyebrows furrowed together. You were still out of it so it took your brain longer to process what he said.

"I try." You finally spoke with a grin. Although it was mumbled and had some sarcasm to it. But that's when you noticed the lack of people in the room. "Hey, where is everyone?"

"Hogsmead with McGonagall." Remus pointed out like it was obvious. You just nodded. "Why didn't you go?"

"Parents didn't sign the form."

"Same. They forgot." The bookworm chuckled, making you laugh as well. Although it hurt your head to do so. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"I'm peachy." You replied. One hand went to your stomach as the other hand ran through your hair before settling on rubbing your nose again. "I'm just tired." You mumble being optimistic. Remus didn't believe you at all. Walking over to him you let your body collapse onto the sofa beside him. "It's really warm though, don't you think?"

Remus couldn't help but watch you, he could see how pale you were and how rosy both your cheeks and nose were. But what topped it was the layer of sweat that was now running down your forehead as if you'd just run a marathon.

Shaking his head, the Marauder stood up, placing his book on the armrest of the sofa "Yep. Nope. I'm taking you to Madam Pomfrey." Remus declares as he helps you to stand. "Come on."

"There's not much I can do I'm afraid, Mr Lupin, Miss Y/l/n simply has the flu." The old nurse informs with a sigh. "Although I suspect that serves her right for not wearing a proper coat or scarf when she's been up in the Quidditch stands the past couple of weeks." She adds looking to you with an unimpressed look. All you could muster was a goofy and innocent grin despite how ill you currently felt.

"Okay." Remus nodded. He's had many experiences with having the flu when he was younger so he knew how to help with this.

"I've given her something for her temperature but the best I can suggest is plenty of rest and drink plenty of fluids." Pomfrey says folding her arms. You were sat on the bed zoning out not knowing what to do with yourself. "If she can sweat it out over the next day or so that would be favourable." Remus once again nodded. Not having anything left to say Madam Pomfrey let you both go.
