(Request) Mischief Managed- Marauders

Request: Ok, I'm not sure if you'll see this but this is my idea: Y/n is one of the famous Marauders and most boys in hogwarts adores her. She's good at studies but also with trouble yet she never gets caught with her 'innocent' act, sometimes she even gets the other Marauders out of trouble. People admire her and one of those who likes her is Lucius Malfoy. He bullied a few second year Gryffindors this morning and y/n saw it all so planned to do revenge. Y/n is the 'distraction' since Lucius likes her and that's what she does best, James is the 'muscles', Sirius is the 'wildcard' and of course Remus is the 'brains' of the group. Peter was somewhere doing who's know what lol- Oh and the prank is up to you author-chan :3

"Professor, if I may?" You began, stepping forward. As usual the boys had gotten themselves into trouble and had dragged you down along with them. Which was a first in all honesty. As, despite being one of the Marauders, you were the lucky one of the group who never caught due to the 'innocent' act you always pulled when in a potentially sticky situation.

The boys glanced at you as did Professor Slughorn. However, the Professor allowed you to talk. "I appreciate what you saw Professor but I can assure you that it wasn't what it looked it." You began, Professor Slughorn rasing an eyebrow at you. "You see we were up in our common room when this whole thing happened. We didn't know about it. We were only on the Grand Staircase when you found us because we were heading down to the Hall but then James slipped on the slime which is why you saw us with it." You lied before giving the Professor your signature innocent smile.

As you did this, Sirius and James stared wide eyed at you in both disbelief and in awe as you lied point blank to the Potions Master. Peter had zoned out and so was rocking back and forth on his feet and Remus had to look away not wanting Slughorn to see the laugh he was trying to ever so desperately to hold back from your blatant lie.

Slughorn watched you for a moment, trying to work out if what you were saying was true or not. But the more he thought about it the more he somewhat believed it. After all he didn't actually catch you five red handed but walked in on you lot picking the stuff up and helping James to stand. So as far as Slughorn was aware you all could very well have simply been at the wrong place at the wrong time which has happened before. The Professor also believed your words because you've never been caught with any pranks yourself and so was none the wiser in thinking you were lying.

"Very well Miss Y/l/n." The Professor sighed shoving his hands into his waistcoat pockets. "Your version of the event is quite compelling, you five are free to go." He declared. Immediately you all smiled, James and Sirius more so. "But." Slughorn paused gaining your attention back. "I would appreciate it if you five could be more careful next time especially you Mr Potter." He warned gesturing to you all before looking to James. Wanting to keep up the false pretense you created James subtly pressed a hand to his leg as if to caress it.

Nodding, James answered. "Absolutely Professor." Seeming satisfied with James' answer he let you all go.

Once out of earshot of the Potions Master and walked through a couple of corridors you all burst out laughing. "Oh Merlin!" Sirius said. "We need you with us more often when we get into trouble." You only smirked.

"I like how you said the slime prank wasn't us when it was your idea in the first place." Remus pointed out with a smile.

You shrugged. "In my defence, we were walking down to the hall at the time and if Peter is going to carry slime with him then... well... it would be a shame to waste such an opportunity." You laughed. "Besides it's not fault Slughorn believed me so easily." All, all five of you could do was laugh.
