Seungwoo didn't know how to feel about what had happened earlier that day. It had been years since he had last seen Sejun - at least in person - and he was doing a good job in forgetting the younger. He had put him through so much, and seeing him again brought all that back, and it hurt more than he wanted to admit.
He was also disappointed in himself for the way that he had spoken to Sejun. Yes, he hurt him a lot, but he didn't deserve to be on the receiving end of Seungwoo's temper, even if his threats were empty. He felt guilty, especially for what he said about his father, it was a low blow and even he knew that.
Seungwoo sighed and laid back on his bed, throwing his arm over his face, groaning. He needed to be careful otherwise he was going to make rash decisions that wouldn't benefit anyone - well most people anyway.

Both Seungwoo and Sejun were born into families loyal to the royal family, with both their fathers being royal guards. This meant that both boys would eventually follow in their footsteps and also become royal guards. It was something that happened in most families, at least one of the sons would go in to be a royal guard like their father. It was a great honour for many people.
The Han's and the Lim's weren't particularly close, however their fathers did know each other, but once the two boys started their training to become guards they became almost inseparable. Both of their fathers insisted on them starting training at quite an early age, and they spent almost all their time together, either exploring the forests surrounding the town, or training and practising their skills on each other. It was the boys' friendship that brought the families closer, and they frequently spent evenings all together.
Seungwoo had many happy memories from his childhood - most of which were with Sejun. He was his best friend, who was trusted with all of his secrets, fears and worries. All of this was why it hurt him so much when he left.
Sejun's father, one of the highest ranked guards along with Seungwoo's father, had been caught selling information to enemies of the Mirror Kingdom, betraying everyone. The King, although extremely disappointed, refused to allow the man to be punished with death, and so sentenced him to life in prison. This led to his death, as he developed an illness while in prison and died after suffering excruciating pain for several weeks.
Sejun took his father's death particularly badly - he was heartbroken. His role model, the person he looked up to and wanted to be like when he grew up. The person he most wanted there when he finally became a royal guard, to show him how much he had worked.
The grief, however, soon turned to anger. He blamed the King for his father's death. Seungwoo had tried, like many other people, to convince him that it wasn't anyone's fault, but nobody was listened to. Sejun gave up on becoming a royal guard, as he was disgusted by the royal family and anything to do with it.
The last time Seungwoo saw Sejun was when he went to visit him and told him he was leaving. Nothing Seungwoo said could stop him, so he didn't try. The younger didn't tell him where he was going, to make sure he didn't have any contact with his old life. He hugged Seungwoo one last time, telling the older that he would be okay, and that he should just forget him, but how was he supposed to?
After that he left.
Only after a few months of officially being a royal guard did Seungwoo find out where Sejun went, and what he was doing, and it made him want to forget everything even more.
It had taken years for Seungwoo to build up enough courage to allow people into his life, scared they would all just leave. He was content with his life at it was, and Lim fucking Sejun just had to come back and mess it all up again.

I'm sorry this is a shorter chapter, but what do you think? Any ideas about what Sejun is? What do you think about Seungwoo and Sejun's relationship?
Have a good day/night 💛
