A few days had passed since the mishap in the town and Subin was itching to go back out there - he couldn't stand being stuck inside the palace walls. However, this time there was a reason. And that reason just so happened to be Seungwoo.
Since Subin's little incident, and after Hanse told the older guard everything despite Subin literally begging him not to (he knew it would all get told to Seungsik), Seungwoo hadn't been himself. Everyone had noticed it. Although he was one of those people who was quiet unless he was with people that he knew well, he had been exceptionally quiet the last few days, and had barely spoken to anyone unless to give orders to the men he was in charge of, or to tell Subin off for trying to 'escape'.
The young prince had even gone as far as interrogating his brother about what was going on - seeing as Byungchan was particularly 'close' with Seungwoo - but even he couldn't get anything out of him. He had tried to speak to him when it was just the two of them, but he just dismissed it as something the prince shouldn't worry about. But if Seungwoo was worrying, then surely so should everyone else.
Hanse told Subin everything that happened after Seungwoo told him to leave, but he had a feeling the guard was leaving a few details out. But that was only a minor concern at that moment.
"I told you, that's all that happened!" Hanse was laid on Subin's bed, his head hanging off as he looked at Subin pacing the room. He almost giggled when he realised how weird the younger looked upside down.
It had almost always been like that; the princes, Hanse, and Seungwoo were very close, and regarded each other more like friends than they probably should, but they didn't care. Not even the King or Queen said anything about it, so everyone just accepted it.
For the past few days Hanse had been assigned by Seungwoo himself to watch Subin. He felt like he was babysitting a grumpy toddler, but he would never tell that to the prince's face - he would probably be attacked.
"It can't be! He is never like this - well not to me anyway! I don't understand. This can't all be about me leaving, I've done it so many times before and he knows that."
Hanse shrugged, sitting up too quickly so all the blood rushed to his head and he almost fell off the bed. He turned round so he was sitting facing Subin.
"He should tell you himself. I'm not saying anything." He realised that may not have been the best thing to say as the prince looked at him suddenly, his eyes practically piercing through him.
"So you do know something."
"I didn't say that."
"Yes, you did. Tell me!" Subin was now stood in front of the guard shaking is shoulders, and trying to look at least a little intimidating - like he could do even just a little damage to him. He just looked like a pissed off baby bunny.
"I'm not telling you Seungwoo hyung's private business."
"But it involves us too - well at least me, I'm sure of it."
Hanse sighed as he stood up, shrugging the younger's hands off his shoulders in the process. He was most likely going to regret his next decision.
"I'll take you to see Seungwoo and he can explain. But if he yells at us it's your fault." Subin nodded, a smile spreading across his face as he happily pulled Hanse towards the door.
