Seungwoo left Yohan and Seungyoun in their 'common room', and began checking everywhere that Byungchan could be. He knew the prince didn't have any duties to attend to that morning, he could have been anywhere, so he decided to find Hanse first - he was most likely to know where the prince was.
Hanse, on that day, was helping with some training of the newer guards, unlike usual when he was pretty much joint at the hip with Byungchan.
"I haven't seen him today. He must be with prince Seungsik." Hanse replied to Seungwoo's question. "He said he didn't want to be alone around the palace after whats happening with Subin."
The older nodded, thanking him as he left, knowing where he should check first. If Byungchan was with Seungsik and neither of them had duties to attend to, they would be in the library, somewhere that the eldest prince spent most of his time.
And sure enough they both were, along with Chan. All three of them turned their heads towards the guard when he entered the room, seemingly surprise about his sudden presence.
"Oh, Seungwoo! Is something wrong?" Seungsik asked after seeing the older male's serious face.
"I just need Byungchan, if that's okay with him?" He looked at the younger prince, who nodded and placed his book down, getting up.
Once they were out of the room, Seungwoo turned to Byungchan, deciding it was probably best to explain the situation first, then go and do what they needed to do.
"It's a long story, that I can't explain now, but I need you to do something for me." He fidgeted nervously.
"Anything. What's going on?" They began walking towards Subin's room, the prince getting a hint of where they were going when he saw what direction the older was walking in.
"I need Sejun to come with me and sort something out, so I wanted you to sit in with Subin, considering he doesn't want to be alone or leave his room at the moment. I would ask Hanse, but he's helping with the training today and I didn't want t-"
Byungchan reached out and covered his mouth with his hand gently, stopping him from speaking and rambling more. "It's okay. I don't mind. Just let me know what's going on when you can, okay?"
They arrived outside Subin's room, stopping in front of the door facing each other.
"Just bear with me for a bit." They shared a smile, before Seungwoo glanced around the corridor quickly, pecking the younger's lips quickly, seeing nobody was around, making him look at the ground bashfully. He nodded, letting the older knock on the door of the room, waiting for a response.
Sejun opened the door quietly, opening it just enough for the other two to see that Subin was curled up on his bed fast asleep. He quickly slid out the door and closed it again so to not disturb the sleeping prince.
"Is everything okay?"
"I'll help you, but I need you to come with me."
Sejun opened is mouth to speak again, but was cut off by Seungwoo. "Byungchan is going to stay with Subin for now, so he wont be alone, okay? Once we're done you can come straight back to him." He reassured the assassin, who seemingly let out a sigh of relief.
Sejun glanced back at the closed door, before nodding. "Okay." He stepped away from the door and let Byungchan enter the room.

"Okay. So, we came up with some kind of a plan, but you're going to need to take the lead in it." Seungwoo explained, the four of them sat around in the 'common room'.
"To cut it short, we need you to send a note to our boss saying you-" Seungyoun started but was cut off.
"Wait - our boss?" Sejun asked before it hit him. "So it's you!"
Seungyoun nodded sheepishly, afraid Sejun would have the same reaction that Seungwoo did. He had had enough of being pinned against a wall for one day, and he was keen to avoid it happening again.
"Anyway." Yohan cleared his throat to break the tension in the air. "You need to meet your boss in the forest so we can basically capture him."
Sejun snorted. "There is no way in fucking hell that is going to work."
"Think about it, though. He wants to continue with his plan, so he'll be wanting to get you to do the next thing on his list."
Seungyoun had a point. Their boss would want him to move straight onto the next part of his plan, most likely to wreak more havoc around the palace, probably in the form of slowly picking off other members of the royal family, or even worse.
"I mean, that's true, but don't you think he's going to be too sceptical?"
"I think he's too desperate."
"I think we need to at least try it." Seungwoo announced. "Seungyoun, can you deliver the note to him? It might make him less suspicious."
Seungyoun nodded, still slightly sceptical himself about what would happen to him in the current situation, now that everyone knew he was a snitch.
"Good, it's settled then." Seungwoo nodded in confirmation. "Nobody in the palace can know anything about this."
~~~
Byungchan sat down in the chair placed in the corner of Subin's room, to not disturb the sleeping younger, who hadn't moved at all from his curled up position, apart from his steady breathing.
The older wandered what was going on that was so urgent with Seungwoo and Sejun. It had to be something more than the attempts at assassination, surely? That was yesterday and nothing had actually come of it. But then why did Seungwoo say he was going to help Sejun?
His thoughts were cut short by Subin stirring from his sleep, stretching out before looking around when he realised that Sejun was no longer with him. His searching eyes landed on Byungchan, who waved awkwardly at him.
"Sorry, your boyfriend had to go and do something with Seungwoo. It seemed urgent."
Subin sat up. "Shut up. I know there's something going on between you and Seungwoo hyung." He smirked at Byungchan's reaction, who's ears went red.
"Anyway." The older cleared his throat."What's going on? Seungwoo hyung said he was going to help Sejun with something."
The younger sighed. He really didn't want to tell his brother what had happened, it would just further prove to both him and Seungsik that he shouldn't be with Sejun, and he couldn't cope with that.
"Can we just not talk about it yet? I really don't want to." He trailed off, hoping that his brother would understand.
Byungchan nodded. "Of course. Just tell me when you're ready." Subin smiled gratefully.
"I will."
