"I know you probably don't want to talk about it, but I just wanted to ask if you're okay?" Was the first thing that Seungwoo said, and if it was anyone else, Subin would have walked away. But it was the way that he said it, he just couldn't walk away from him.

Subin sighed. "I think so?" But it came out as a question.

"You don't sound sure."

Seungwoo cared about him like a younger brother. Subin had been the first prince he had gotten to know, originally being the prince's 'personal guard', although neither of them liked to call it that. Sure, he was close to Seungsik as well, but that was more like good friends, whereas Subin felt like a brother, someone who he needed to protect.

"You know what it's like. Seeing that for the first time." He was definitely too dismissive in the way he spoke because the look the older gave him a look, knowing that wasn't everything.

"Yes. I know what it's like, but you're keeping something back."

Subin shook his head, denying it.

"Look. I want to make sure you are okay, and you're making that very difficult at the moment!" Seungwoo didn't want to get angry with him, but he needed to know, especially if it had something to do with Sejun.

"Please don't get angry at me." Subin was almost cowering away from him. He looked like a child who was being scolded by their parents, rather than a prince - and an adult at that.

"I wont, I promise." The words were sincere.

The prince looked away as he spoke, making it harder for the older to hear what he was saying, but he managed to understand. "I don't want you to be angry with Sejun." Subin looked at the guard and waited for a reaction, but his expression showed that he wanted him to explain himself.

"He's a good person, hyung. I can feel it." Subin sighed. "He answered all of my questions and he explained everything to me. I know you said he was dangerous and I should sta-"

"I know."

"Wait-what?"

Seungwoo turned to him and looked him in the eye. "I know he's a good person, Subin."

It took a few seconds for him to fully compute what he said.

"Then why do you hate him?"

"Subin. Why do you think I hate him? He was my best friend, I could never hate him!" He exclaimed exasperatedly.

"But he left you, and now you're angry that he came back." His statement came out more like a question.

"I was confused Subin. But it came out as anger, and I regret that, but I don't hate him."

Subin nodded, accepting the information. He thought that would be the end of the conversation, but the older spoke again, causing him to turn back towards him.

"Why do you care so much?" It wasn't meant in a harsh way, Seungwoo was genuinely curious as to why Subin didn't want him to hate Sejun.

"No reason." He spoke unconvincingly, turning away once again.

"Because it seems like you care about him." The younger could almost hear the smirk in his voice.
