Subin and Sejun had left Seungwoo to finish his training, and 'hid' away in Subin's room until the guard figured out what to do with the situation. Seungwoo knew he needed to do something - it was his best friend and someone who he almost considered to be a younger brother. Of course he was going to try and help them.
He had two options.
Either he went to Seungsik about everything, potentially causing more problems for everyone, because as much as he was one of his closest friends, Seungwoo knew he would most likely overreact. The other option was to try and figure it out by himself, or with the help of some of his colleagues, which seemed both more realistic and more promising.
So, he left the training grounds and washed up, changing into his uniform, before requesting two other guards to cover for Seungyoun and Yohan, who like usual were at their posts on the gates.
When the two appeared into the guards little 'common room', they looked mildly bewildered, having no clue what was going on, or what they were about to get into.
"What's going on?" Seungyoun happened. Seungwoo could see he looked slightly nervous, for some reason.
"Well. To put it short we have a huge fucking problem on our hands."
"How do you mean?" Yohan questioned.
"Sejun was put onto a job by his boss to assassinate Subin. He told me everything, and now its our job to save both of their asses before they both get killed."
"Why do we have to deal with it? Why can't you just report it to prince Seungsik?"
"I'm not doing that to him- to either of them. Sejun is my best fucking friend, and Subin is like my little brother, okay? If I don't help them, I've let both of them down." Seungwoo let out a heavy sigh, running a hand messily through his hair.
Yohan looked at Seungyoun, who was already looking at him nervously. His eyes gave away that he was scared, scared of saying anything, but also scared of the outcome if he didn't. Either way, there was guilt for him. The younger gave him a certain look, nodding his head, silently pleading him to say something - otherwise he would.
Seungyoun looked down, sighing. "I-I think I... I think I can help." Seungwoo's eyes shot over to him.
He looked relieve for a split second, before narrowing his eyes.
"How?"
Seungyoun looked at Yohan again.
"I'm an informant for the same person Sejun works for."
He looked down, waiting for whatever Seungwoo would do. And sure enough he came striding across the room, pinning him against the wall by his shoulder, Yohan springing into action and trying to pull them apart - without much success.
"You fucking what?" Seungwoo was furious, pushing him further into the wall.
Seungyoun just allowed him to do whatever he wanted, he deserved it after all. Yohan finally managed to get in between the two of them, pushing the older away.
"Please just listen to him." He pleaded.
"It sounds like you're defending him, Yohan. A fucking traitor." The eldest spat. "Are you one too?"
The youngest looked around exasperated. "Why would you think that? No! But if he can help, don't you think we need him?"
Seungwoo gritted his teeth. "Fine."
"Why didn't you call Hanse here too?" Yohan realised he wasn't there, which confused him. Usually he was the first person Seungwoo went to with any kind of information like this.
"Because he is close with Byungchan, and I don't need him or Seungsik getting involved." Although Seungwoo seemed to have calmed down slightly, the other two guards were still cautious, not wanting to anger him further.
"Now. You need to tell us every fucking thing you know." He pointed at Seungyoun, who was still cowering against the wall.

"Has anyone seen Subin or Sejun at all?" Byungchan walked into the library were both Seungsik and Chan were.
Seungsik looked up from his book and shook his head, glancing at Chan. "I haven't seen either of them since yesterday." Chan confirmed.
"That's weird."
"They are most likely in Subin's room. After what happened yesterday, I'm not surprised that he wants to stay in there." Seungsik spoke, this time not even looking up.
"What happened?" Byungchan enquired.
"Someone tried to get into the palace. All Seungwoo said was that he got away, but he was sure it was something to do with the assassination attempts." He explained.
"I'm sure Subin is fine with Sejun. Seungwoo hyung will tell us anything we need to know, right?" Chan questioned, although it came out more like a statement.
"I'm sure he will."
~~~
"I think we're going to need to get both Hanse and Sejun involved if we're going to sort this out."
After Seungyoun had told them everything that he knew, the three of them tried to make some kind of plan of what to do, but they quickly realised that it was going to take more than just them to solve.
Seungwoo sighed, running his hand though his hair for the hundredth time that day. "I think so." He agreed.
"Hyung. Why don't you send prince Byungchan to be with prince Subin, and then call Hanse hyung and Sejun out here?" Yohan suggested.
"You could say that it's just something to do with the assassination attempts." Seungyoun added on.
Seungwoo thought about it for a moment, weighing up their options. "Alright. But we need to be careful."
So the eldest guard left the other two to go and find the prince and collect Hanse and Sejun. Once he had left they let out a sigh of relief.
"I thought he was going to kill you."
"I've never seen him so mad before." Seungyoun let out another shaky breath, having thought about what had just happened again. He crouched down, his back still resting against the wall, for support more than anything.
"I'm proud of you, though." Yohan spoke up. "I didn't think you would do it." He smiled at the older.
"I've seen how Sejun and Subin are with each other." Seungyoun smiled. "I know what that feeling is like and I'm not going to be the person to disrupt it."
Ihope this book is up to standard and everyone is enjoying it! I am so thankful for all the reads and comments!
What do you think of the relationship between Yohan and Seungyoun? Any thoughts on what the plan might be?
Have a good day/night 💛
