"Everyone needs to be out of sight." Seungwoo whisper-yelled at the other three guards who were trying to conceal themselves behind trees in the darkness of the night.

Luckily for them, nature seemed to be on their side, as the moon was covered by clouds, making the night darker than originally intended. It did, however, make it harder for them to navigate their way around the forest, but they managed it without any injuries luckily.

Their plan was to have Sejun's boss surrounded as soon as he appeared, but not actually show themselves until after Sejun had spoken to him - they wanted the information as easily as they could get it. Seungwoo knew not even torture would get information out of the man. Once they had enough information, they would surround him and grab him, taking him back to the palace. It sounded easy in theory.

Sejun was a jittering mess on the inside, but he was trying his best to keep his composure on the outside, for everyone's sake.

"It's going to be okay." Seungwoo placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Everything is going to work."

"You don't know what he's like." He ran a hand though his hair, clenching his fist in it. "Usually I can read a person's character to know what they would do in situations, but I can't now." He let out a shaky breath. "Not with him."

Both their heads snapped up when they heard faint footsteps coming though the dead leaves and branches on the floor. Seungwoo quickly retreated to his place, making himself unseen.

The figure looked around, their sight soon settling onto Sejun's figure. He finally stopped when he was stood a few metres away from him.

"I didn't think we would be meeting in this way." His boss chuckled.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I didn't think you would be man enough to actually do your fucking job. I guess I was wrong." He shrugged.

"I guess you were." He added his infamous smirk.

His boss shook his head, briefly looking down.

"You know, I'm surprised you're so on board with this whole plan." He looked back at the assassin, tucking his hands into his pockets.

"You were so adamant that you weren't going to kill that rat, but now look at you! Wanting nothing more than to kill the other two as well! What changed, Sejun? Please, do enlighten me."

"What do you mean? You know how much I hate them." He was panicking at that point.

"But you didn't want to kill the prince."

"He seemed innocent." Sejun knew he needed to lie through his teeth to get this to work. "But the longer I spent in the palace, the more I saw of the real prince."

His boss nodded thoughtfully.

"You see, Sejun. I'm not sure I believe you." The assassin's eyebrow's knitted together in confusion.

"Why?"

"This all seems too good to be true, my dear boy. I know a fucking liar when I see one." He took a few step closer, chuckling once again. "I know you didn't do it. I know you're lying to me."
