Toni pov

"Toniiii get uppppp we got school and I gotta go, I can't be late anymore" Martha spoke shaking me

"Then go I'll be there later" I mumbled no really tryna hear her

"Toni I can't leave you now hurry up and get ready" she spoke before pulling the cover off me

"Martha really? Can I atlease get five more minutes?" I asked her sitting up

"No now get up so you can eat breakfast" she responded score walking out

I rolled my eyes getting up

I then got ready for school

After getting ready I made my way downstairs

I sat beside Martha as she looked at me

"Ready?" She asked

"Marty I'm not going to lie, I'm not really feeling school today" I spoke

"Why?" She asked

"I'm not really in a good mood today, you know?" I answered

"No I don't know, why aren't you in a good mood?" She asked

"Well it's my mother's birthday today and I'm still not over the fact that she chose drugs over me so yeah I'm not really in a school mood" I spoke

She stared at me

"Toni, I know she is thinking about you right now, and she didn't chose drugs over you Toni she left you so she can better herself for you" Martha spoke trying to see the good in it

"Marty you're really annoy me with trying to see the good in everybody and everything" I spoke

She chuckled at my response

"Okay fine I won't see the good in everybody and everything for a week if you just come to" she says

"Really? Ion think you can do" I spoke

"If I do it then I'll let you do whatever you want for a week without saying a word, deal?" She spoke

I nodded

"Deal" I responded smiling knowing she wasn't going able to do it

"But Ian saying ima be in a good mood today, I'm just showing up at school" I spoke

I was in third block I had my head down, I really didn't feel like talking, doing work none of that just like I held my head down the whole time in first and second block

"Toni pick your head up, you have work" Mr. Gentry spoke

I ignored him

"Toni" I heard Reagan voice call out but I ignored her also

"Miss Shalifoe I won't tell you again to pick your head up" Mr. Gentry spoke

"Than don't" I said picking my head up just to put it back down

"Toni do as he say" Martha whispered

"Miss Shalifoe" Mr. Gentry called out

"What damn, what the fuck is so important that I must do, it's my fucking grade if I don't do it just gone ahead and fail me" I spoke lifting my head up looking him in his eyes

"Watch your language" he spoke

"Or what? It's just fucking words don't be a pussy about it" I responded

He stared at me for a few seconds

"Toni" Martha spoke

"Out of my class now" he spoke pointing to the door
