Part 26

Shelby pov

After getting ready for school I went down stairs with my school things in my hand

My mom was down making my siblings lunch for school

"Good morning baby" my mom spoke

"Good morning" I responded looking up at her

She looked at me with concern in her eyes before asking "what's wrong?"

I shook my head... "nothing" I said trying to put on a smile

"Are you sure?" She asked

"Yeah, I'm just tired" I responded

"Okay I guess, but have a great day" she said

"Thanks mama, you too" I responded grabbing my keys of the hanger and made way to school

Once I walked in my first block class everybody was staring at me, I ignored the stares and went to my seat which was beside Fatin

"Damn shelbs you look like shit" she said without hesitation

"Wow, thanks" I said sarcastically

"You guys can turn around now, thanks for the concerns" Fatin said the classmates who were staring causing them to turn around

"Is this about the breakup?" She asked

I chuckled and rolled my eyes

"You know you can talk to me right?" She asked with an eyebrow raised

"Fatin I literally told her something very personal, I told her something I've never told nobody else, I told her something that I'm most afraid of and the worst thing I've ever done, and she left me immediately right after with no hesitation" I said

"Did you talk to her?" She asked

"No, why would I talk to her after she left me?" I asked confused

"Maybe you two need to talk it out, she tells you why she left and you tell her how you feel about her leaving you" Fatin said

"I don't wanna talk to her" I said rolling my eyes

"I think you should" she responded

"Can we not talk about this right now? I'm not in the mood" I said with a slightly attitude

"Okay my bad" Fatin said holding up hands up in surrender

My mood been off today because I'm still mad at Toni, and people staring at me because I look horrible today and they can tell I been crying all night probably because of the large bags under my eyes, but everyone assumed it was because of the break up with Andrew, which I don't even know how they find out about that

I sat at the lunch table with my bowl of salad

As I was getting ready to eat a small figure sat beside me, I looked up over to see Toni

"Hey Shelbs" she said

I scoffed before getting up and moving on the other side of the table between Fatin and Leah

I watched as her jaws and her fist clenched before relaxing, I just rolled my eyes and went back to my salad

"How have you been?" She she asked causing me to look up at her

I stared at her with a blank expression on my face as she just looked at me with a soft face
