Shelby pov

"Toni wake up" I spoke

But there was no response... so I started to shake her

"Wake up" I said shaking her

"Nooooo, whyyyy it's Sunday" she said not opening her eyes

"Because I got a lot to do today first off I gotta go to church and than I have a pageant today" I said

"Than leave I'll stay here" she responded

"No because our friends are worried about you" I said

"Ugggggg, even on the weekends I still have to wake up early" she complained sitting up kicking her legs

I chuckled at how cute she is throwing a tantrum

"Stop being a big baby" I said putting on my shoes

She got up walking inside the bathroom

"Toni hurry I gotta go home I got to get ready for church and than go back home just to get ready for the pageant

"You can go ahead Shelby, I know my way to Fatin's house" she said coming out the bathroom with a toothbrush in her mouth

"No ima wait" I said

"No Shelby go, you don't wanna be late" she said spitting the toothpaste out than afterwards rinsing her mouth out with water

I watched as she grabbed the rag and start to wash her face

"Toni you coming to my pageant?" I asked looking at her

She looked at me as if she was confused

"No" she responded putting her rag back where it came from after she was done washing her face

"What? Why not?" I asked frowning

"Because Shelby pageants is not my thing" she spoke

"So? Make it your thing, we said 'I love you' to eachother, now we are whatever we are, so you have to support me" I said

"Shelbs when have I ever went to one of your pageant? I can't just pop up, the girls will know something's up than" she argued

"I know this type of stuff not your thing, but I would really love it if you were to come" I said

She rolled her eyes... "I'll think about it Shelbs" she said causing a big smile to appear on my face

"Okay that's good enough" I spoke grabbing her face and pecking her on the lips I few times before pulling away smiling

"You ready?" I asked

"Yeah lemme put n my shoes really quick" she answered grabbing her shoes from under the bed

I nodded before looking in the mirror playing with my hair

"Um Shelbs" she called out causing me to face her

"Can you not tell the others about my mom situation?, I know that they are going to be asking a lot of questions and I'm kinda not ready to talk about it just yet" she said

"Of course" I said walking over to her and sitting next her

"Are you okay?" I asked

"Yeah I guess" she said nodding
