Part 36

Toni pov

"Marty? Can you come get me? I'm still at Shelby's on the front porch" I spoke in the phone

"I thought she was going to take you home" she said

"Yeah, she was, but something happen, can you please come get me?" I asked on the verge of crying

"Yeah sure, I'm on my way" she spoke

15 minutes later she pulled up and I hopped in the car

"Toni, what happen?" She asked

I shook my head "I don't want to talk about it" I responded

"Okay, you staying home with me tonight or the trailer"? She asked

"With you" I responded

The ride to the house was quiet, except my phone was blowing up and I already knew it was Shelby

Once we got there I took a bath, I sat in the tub with burning hot water and cried while thinking about what happen

She and her dad run a conversion camp in that home, and she invited me to it

Why didn't she tell me before I got there

Was she ever going to tell me

The fact that she helped her dad run this camp says a lot about her

The thing that hurt the most was she invited me to the house where it happens and didn't even have the nerve to tell me

Maybe, just maybe if she would've been told me, I wouldn't be as upset as I am now

Once I got out the tube because I was starting to wrinkle and the water had been gotten cold, I dried off and threw on a draws and a long white tee shirt, I looked at my phone and seen it was 9:30 indicating that I was in the tub for like 2-3 hours and I had a few miss calls and texts from Shelby

I didn't want to sleep alone tonight so I went to Martha's room

I knocked softly three times before cracking the door

"Marty can I sleep with you? I don't want to be alone" I said

"Sure Toni, come here" she said motioning her hand for me to come

I went inside closed the door and crawled in bed with her

She wrapped her arm around my neck and I scooted closer into her side wrapping my arm around her abdomen and laid my head on her shoulder

"Did something bad happen at Shelby's?" She asked softly

I nodded

"Are you okay?" She asked

I shook my head "but I will be" I spoke

My phone went off again

"You're phone been going off all night, you sure you don't wanna answer it?" Martha asked

I nodded

"It's just Shelby, I'll talk to her later, I don't really wanna talk to her right now" I responded

"Was it something her dad said?" Martha asked

"Marty... please, I just don't want to talk about it right now" I said my voice breaking

"Okay, let's go to sleep then" she responded before giving me a kiss on the forehead

"Goodnight, I love you" she said
