"I swear this rat man won't leave me the fuck alone." Izuku muttered to himself, tossing his mask in the bed and changing into a normal outfit.

Ripped jeans, a hoodie, and converse. Nothing suspicious, just like he wanted.

He opened the door to his apartment, grabbing his keys and wallet off the table by the door.

"There's my favorite customer!" The old lady smiled.

"Hi granny. Sorry it's been a while." He chuckled sheepishly.

"No worries. But I have a question for ya dear."

"Hm?"

"Like you know, my son owns a lovely little cafe. And he's hiring part timers now! I know how much you dislike working at McDonald's, and it's pretty much guaranteed, what do you say?"

"Really?"

"Of course dear."

"Thank you granny." He said, a soft smile rounding his cheeks.

"In other news. HAVE YOU BEEN EATING YOUR'RE STILL SO SKINNY!"

Izuku sunk into his shoulders a little.

"I'm making sure you eat dammit. Let's go!" Granny Sen declared, grabbing her purse, and tugging Izuku by the ear out the door.

"Where are we going exactly?"

"Lunch! Your are so irresponsible! I have to make sure you eat child!"

"W-what but I can't-"

"No buts!"

"Granny please!"

Todoroki turned around to see a short old lady dragging what seemed like her grandson down the road.

"Momo look." He said, a barely visible smirk on his face.

"How cute. That grandmother must be dragging him somewhere."

Suddenly Todoroki heard his phone buzz in his pocket. He grabbed the phone, and the small smirk faded at the name flashing on the screen.

His hand shook ever so slightly, pressing the answer button.

"Yes father?"

"Get your ass down here, we have training."

"Yes-" A small pause. He swallowed. "Sir."

"I have to go Momo."

Her expression twisted into one of worry. She hugged him, whispering a message of comfort in his ear. "Text me after okay? Let me know that your fine."

"I'll be okay." He said, trying to convince himself more than anyone else.

He started down the sidewalk, turning around the corner.

"I won't be okay."

"Suga! My baby!" Granny Sen beamed, pulling his face down to kiss him on the cheek.

"Hi mom." He smiled back, just as brightly.

"This is Izuku!"

"Oh I remember you telling me about him. I believe you said he was like your grandson mom."

"Yep! I have to take care of him, cause he won't eat unless I make him, too skinny!"

Izuku's eyes went wide, the green shining brilliantly in the sun coming through the window. He could feel small tears build up in his eyes. He choked them down though, the expression dissolving into the usual one he wore.

Suga and Granny Sen eyed each other, deciding to ignore it.

"Where's that husband of yours?"

"Daichi's in the back prepping some dough for the fresh doughnuts."

(Me, including adorable ships from other Anime's one day at a time. This is Sugawara and Daichi from Haikyuu btw. Mostly bc I didn't feel like coming up with original names but whatever.)

"Anyways, what can I get for you today?"

"I don't really need anything-" Izuku started.

"Nope." Granny Sen interrupted. "We'll each have a slice of cake, a small fruit bowl, and a nice sandwich. Why don't you pick out a drink too?"

"But I can't eat all that, besides I don't have much money on me right now-"

"Excuses excuses. I'm treating you to lunch dear, just enjoy some nice food." She smiled up at Izuku.

Izuku felt that twinge of both sadness and longing for something.

"Okay Granny."

"Thank you for the meal Granny."

"Your welcome dear. But was something wrong in there? You looked as if you might cry." The woman's face wore a kind smile, filled with concern for the boy.

"I'm fine granny."

"Say what you will dear, but give me a hug. Whether your truly fine or not." She said, still smiling, while pulling the boy into a hug.

Izuku couldn't really make himself hold back anymore. He accepted the hug, and long held back tears spilled over his eyes, blurring his vision.

His crying was silent, but Granny Sen felt the tears dampen the back of her shawl. She didn't say a word, because maybe a hug was all Izuku need right now.

'I can't believe I did that. Crying? I've gotta be kidding myself, I'm just the useless scary cat I've always been.'

'Uselessstupidcrybabydekutakeaswandiveofftheroofjustdiejudtdiejustdiediediedie-'

However the screaming in his head came to a pause, as he remembered Granny Sen.

'Does she care about me? Maybe I'm worth it enough, just for one person. Just one is all I need.' He curled into a ball underneath the covers.

'Maybe.' Was the last thought that played in his head as he drifted off to sleep.

Buuuuuut....... he woke up an hour later. His peaceful sleep had been interrupted by a migraine and two minutes later, his alarm.

He groaned as he sat up, the room spun slightly, hence the horrible migraine. (I don't get migraines so I'm writing based on bad headaches I've had and my extremely minor knowledge on migraines. I get dizzy if I have a bad enough headache, hence that detail.)

Izuku pulled on his mask and turned on the voice changer before jumping off the balcony he'd grown familiar with.

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that you should feel free to ask any questions you may have, whether they're about me or the story. Constructive criticism is always welcome as well. I love reading your comments, thank you for all the support!
