~Flashback~
"MOM!"

"Izuku, Izuku I need you to hide dear. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

"Mom no I won't leave! What are you talking about!?"

"You have to run dear. I love you. I love you more than anything."

"I do too mom please. Please let me stay. Don't make me go."

"What's this? A kid?" A voice dripping with venom let out.

Izuku flung his arm, sending the villain into the wall.

"I have a quirk now mom. We can get out we can leave."

But his mom just apologized. Told him to run.

"You bitch!"

The villain sunk into the floor, rising back up behind Inko.

"NO!"

The villain sunk back, not returning again.

"No no no no" Izuku slumped on his knees checking for a pulse. A habit he'd become all to familiar with. But this time.

Inko was dead.

And it was Izuku's fault.

When the police arrived. Izuku was numb.

His head played one thought on repeat.

'My fault. My fault. My fault. My fault.'

"Kid......ar......kay?"

'My fault. My fault. My fault. My fault. My fault-'

"KID! Are you okay?"

"What?"

"Are you okay?"

"My fault. It was my fault."

"No it wasn't kid, it was the villains."

"My fault." He muttered again.

The police officer got up to converse with another.

"Tsukauchi, I think he'll need therapy or something. He's really not okay."

"Let's do that. I'll ask him questions after he has some time to get stability."

"Okay, sounds good. But where should he go? His father was arrested. Life sentence."

"I think it's best to try and find close friends."

Mitsuki had been outside when they heard the police sirens, but no one would tell her anything. Classified info and such.

"Excuse me ma'am, I'm Detective Tsukauchi. I'm here to answer your questions."

"What's going on, first of all."

"A woman by the name of Inko Midoryia was murdered in the apartment next door."

"What!? What about Izuku! Where is he? What happened!? Why didn't you save them?!" Mitsuki yelled at him.

"Izuku is down there in police custody. I'm going to presume you were close with Ms. Midoryia?"

"Yes but we need to see Izuku. Let me go get my son."

"KATSUKI!"

"WHAT IS IT MOM-" His voice trailed off at the look on his mother's face.

"We need to go come on."

"What's going on?" The eight year old boy questioned.

"Just come on."

"Okay detective, take us to him."

"Take us to who? Seriously what's going on?"

But it seemed everyone immediately silenced at the expression strung on Izuku's face.

He looked horrified. Eyes open wide, staring at the ground. Unshed tears hanging from his eyelashes.
He seemed to be muttering something. But Katsuki heard it clear as day.

"My fault."
~Flashback over~

"Iida. You need to do this. I can deal with the warp villain."

Izuku couldn't believe what he was about to do. He swore he'd never use his quirk again. The quirk that he didn't deserve. But was that worth letting them die? Izuku would let himself die before that happened.

He eyed the metal plate awkwardly worn around the warp villain.

He reached out a hand. Assuming that he had some sort of physical substance. And then he flung him around like a rag doll.

"Iida go."

Iida sped away, wearing a look of shock.

He'd lost focus on the warp villain for a second, who took advantage of this. Wrapping him in a purple smoke, before disappearing.

But it was okay with Izuku. That meant his friends were okay. His friends. Huh.

When he looked up, he was close to Aizawa. On the ground. At the mercy of a horrific looking monster. With a slightly decayed arm.

Izuku snapped. The debris around him started to float but more importantly Shigaraki was thrown so hard into a wall it cracked. But when Izuku looked he had paused. Because he saw his mother lying helpless for a split second.

Which gave Shigaraki, who was mildly injured but protected be the warp villain, to reach him, palm outstretched.

Izuku felt his flesh begin to decay pulling the hand away from his neck.

Aizawa was at the mercy of the Nomu.

The Nomu was to strong for Izuku to move with his quirk. So Izuku brought himself towards it instead. Between the devastating punch and Aizawa.

And then the heroes flooded the building. But Izuku wasn't conscious to see it.

Izuku POV

I'd always wanted to see my mother again, I just never imagined it would be like this.

Izuku POV End

"Hello dear. I've missed you very much.

"Mom?" His voice trembled.

"Please sit dear. Have a warm glass of tea."

Izuku shakily inhaled, walking towards the table.

"You must watch out for those villains dear. The ones who have nothing left to lose. I believe you can help."

"I killed my own mother. What do you think I could do?"

"You did no such thing dear. You were my hero, always were."

And those six words. The ones he'd been waiting to hear. They made it all worth it.

"You give out pieces of yourself to people. But never dare let them see the whole picture. I've seen it dear, I know who you are. Drink the tea darling, drink it and you'll never be lonely again."

Izuku brought the cup to his lips, taking a small sip.

He woke up with a start. Only to see a pristine hospital room.

He'd been looking at his mother's eyes. But now he was the only one left.
