Izuku hurts. He hurts inside and out and he doesn't have anyone. The kid's back with his sister now, and he treats his broken skin alone, biting the inside of his cheek till it bleeds.
He doesn't mind being alone, he thinks. And Izuku will remain alone, because no one likes him.
He hasn't made friends because there's no reason for them to want friendship. Scarred and bruised, heart torn out before he knew it was gone. And now he's no boy, he's scarred and bruised and heartless.
And he's a monster.
Make no mistake. His place in class 1a doesn't make Izuku Midoriya a hero.
Shota Aizawa didn't turn the kid in, no. He didn't report it to Tsukauchi, or anyone else.
He remembers that day vividly, like Midoriya was a small child yesterday.
Shota isn't a father, he's not pretending to be one.
He is tired, and he cares. He is a teacher, a hero.
Not a father.
