Izuku clicked off his voice changer.
"What do you want." He seethed.
"I want you to come to UA."
"That's too bad."
"Well I did a little digging. And even if I can't hack into your computers or phone, that doesn't stop me from gaining the files of a missing boy from an orphanage a couple miles away."
"No. You wouldn't."
"I don't want to have to Izuku. But you will be attending UA, one way or another. My apologies that it had to be this way. Be sure to preform your best at the entrance exams."
"I hate you." He hung up.
"That son of a bitch." Izuku snarled, clicking the voice changer back on.
Tsukauchi sighed. "We're no closer in this case than we were a year ago." He rubbed his temples.
"I have some new info." Aizawa said, stepping into Tsukauchi's office.
"What is it?"
"I have reason to believe he's just a teenager. And two, he doesn't have a quirk. Which means-"
"We can't arrest him." Tsukauchi finished.
"Vigilante work by definition is quirk use to stop crime without a heroes license. But if he doesn't have one, he's just a guy who happens to stop crime a lot."
"As far as being a kid, we don't know if he's already under some form of legal custody or not. We still can't do anything."
"Dammit."
"Aizawa, go home. I know your on this case, but it's almost 1am. Go see your kid and husband, take a break."
"But I can-"
"No."
"Fine."
As much as Aizawa wanted to continue on the case, he missed Eri and Hizashi, a lot.
He tiredly opened the door, stepping inside the apartment. He took off his shoes, neatly placing them by the door. Oblivious to what was about to come.
He entered the kitchen, a small glow emanating from the dining table. He looked up at Hizashi and Eri, who were holding a cake with intricate piping designs across the white frosting. Candles placed delicately, melted wax beginning to drip.
He smiled gently. "What's all this for?"
"You start a new year at UA soon! And you've been working so hard at this case, you deserve some cake and wine."
"And I get cake and apple juice!" Eri smiled brightly.
"Well thank you very much." Aizawa said, taking a seat with them.
"Who did this icing work?"
"Uhhh." He paused nervously. "Well I met this kid on his way to the bakery...."
"I can't believe I did that. But I did get a good picture for my job interview tomorrow." Izuku chuckled under his breath. Looking down on the picture of the cake he iced. "Not bad for a first try I guess. He seemed to like it though."
"That poor kid. But I do need someone to bake a cake for my sisters birthday next week. Maybe he'll get a job there. Wait. Did you even ask to make sure he wasn't busy with something?" (Eri had gone to bed.)
"Yes? He wouldn't have come if he wasn't busy?"
"Hizashi!"
"I'm sorry!"
"I'm done with this pointless argument, I'm going to sleep."
"Well I'm coming too." Hizashi replied, grabbing Aizawa's hand. He kissed him on the way through the door.
Aizawa smiled. "I'm still mad at you."
"Mhm. Sure you are."
"Hi Izuku! Nice to see you again." Suga smiled brightly.
"Yeah, hi. I'm here for the interview?"
"Right. Daichi!"
"Is he here?" Daichi said, peeking his head out from behind a door. "Oh good." He smiled gently, brushing the flour off his hands. He reached out for a handshake.
Izuku tentatively returned the handshake, even though he preferred not being touched. Daichi seemed to pick up on the discomfort, promptly moving on.
"Let's go to the back room."
"Okay."
"Do you have any prior job experience?" Daichi started.
"Well I worked at McDonald's for a while. I know how to work a cash register and interact with customers, I'm not the most social person though."
"Good. Next question. Do you have any experience with baking and/or coffee? Professional or otherwise."
"Yes. I know how to make coffee, as well as bake. No professional experience though. I have an example of something I baked recently if you'd like to see."
"Of course."
Izuku pulled out his phone, showing Daichi the picture.
His eyes lit up in surprise. "Did you do the frosting too?"
"Yeah?" Izuku answered, confused.
"That's incredible."
"What is?"
"Are you kidding? The detail is insane!" Daichi said, zooming in on the photo.
"I haven't baked in a while, I just like to draw."
"Your hired."
"W-what?"
"Your hired."
"Thank you." Izuku choked out in shock. He liked to draw, but he never thought he was any good.
"You'll start in two weeks, since you can put in your two week notice and then come join us here."
"Sounds good. Thank you." Izuku smiled subtly.
