CHAPTER 21 REVIEW!!

Xavier's POV

I reached over and grabbed Hayden's hand. She looked over at me and smiled.

"Welcome home." she said with a smile.

She picked up our intertwined hands and kissed mine and lied them back down.

On top of her stomach.

On top of our baby.

CHAPTER 22

Hayden's POV

Banners covered every available inch of the school, welcoming Xavier back to school.

We walked hand in hand down the hallway proudly as I received stares from almost everyone in the school.

It seemed as though all eyes in the school were drawn to my all but flat stomach.

Xavier caught me glaring at the bystanders and he gave my hand a squeeze.

"It's alright." he whispered, leaning over and kissing my cheek.

News leaked out to our whole town as Xavier, the new town football star, was welcomed back to school.

Headlines spread across the papers heralding Xavier and his unnamed pregnant girlfriend, which everyone obviously figured out was me.

Today was Xavier's first day back, no longer in need of the wheelchair or neck brace.

The bruises on his beautiful face were turning to yellow, but were still very visible, as was the two inch line of stitches above his eyebrow.

Walking down the hallway to first block was a bit of a challenge at first with Xavier trying to just use one crutch to walk.

"I don't want to be completely handicapped." he had told me this morning after I scolded him for not using both.

We made down more of the hall as I heard people whispering my name and pointing at my belly.

"What, have they never seen someone pregnant before?" Xavier joked making me laugh nervously.

"It's gonna be okay." he tried to reassure me.

I felt someone tap my shoulder and I spun around coming face to face with Coach Kate.

She stood there holding a newspaper in one hand and a scowl on her face.

She shoved the newspaper at me. I looked at the front page and saw a picture of Xavier and I getting into his limo. The title read: 'NEW TOWN FOOTBALL STAR GETS HIS GIRLFRIEND PREGNANT!'

"Is it true?" she asked, obviously irritated.

I sighed and nodded my head. A group of girls gasped and I whipped my head towards them, giving them a nasty glare. They scattered away quickly and I turned back to Coach.

"Well, why didn't you tell me? You should've have been flying." she told me, talking to me as though I was five.

"I know. I was planning on telling you-"

She cut me off rudely and said with disgust, "Planning on doing something and doing something are very different Ms. Bottichelli. You're off the squad."
