Chapter 35

The next day, Seonghyeon comes to work as usual. But, he wants to talk to Minju and confess to her. As Jae said yesterday, it's better to confess to her and face rejection than to keep it all inside.

He likes Minju a lot but he feels that it's very wrong to have feelings for someone's soon-to-be wife. And that someone is even his boss, Goo Y/N.

Seonghyeon never holds a grudge against Y/N but somehow he can't push away his feelings for Minju. He hates feeling torn with his decisions like this.

Timeskip

The lunchtime comes and Seonghyeon hurries to go to Minju. Before Y/N could go to ask his fiancée for lunch, Seonghyeon wants to settle his problem first.

As he's running to Minju's office, he sees her talking to who he assumes is her worker. He rushes towards her and stops her.

"Ms. Kim." Seonghyeon said while trying to catch his breath.

"Seonghyeon-ah. What's wrong? Were you running?"

"There's no time to explain. I'm sorry but you have to follow me."

"What do you mean? Why would I- Seonghyeon-ah!" Seonghyeon grabs her wrist and he runs with Minju to the rooftop.

Once they arrived, Seonghyeon looks into her eyes. Minju is confused about Seonghyeon who just suddenly decided to bring her to the rooftop without any reason. Well, she's about to hear his reason now.

"Choi Seonghyeon, what's wrong? Why did you suddenly bring me here?" She asked. With a loud sigh, Seonghyeon starts speaking.

"Ms. Kim, what I'm about to say will shock you. I know I shouldn't be like this. Y/N hyung is a great man. I love him. But I shouldn't feel this way..." Hearing his words made Minju confused even more.

"I love hyung so much. But I don't want to betray his trust. It... It makes me feel guilty for having this feeling." Minju's eyes widen as she realizes what he means.

"He's my savior. He means a lot to me. But I shouldn't-"

"You... Seonghyeon-ah, do you... Do you like Y-Y/N?" Minju's words stunned Seonghyeon as he didn't expect her to think like that.

"Wait what? It's not what you think it is. I love him but not in that way. I love someone else."

"So you... like someone else?"

"Yes. It's hard to bring it up. But it's been taking a toll on me for quite a while."

"And who's that guy that you like?"

"Wait, guy? What do you mean by that? I don't like a guy-"

"Then what is it? I'm confused!"

"I like you! I... I like you, Ms. Kim. A lot." Hearing his confession surprised her. She never expect that it would turn out like this. She takes a few steps back from Seonghyeon.

"M-Ms. Kim. I'm very sorry. I wanted to confess to you just to let out this burden inside me. It's been killing me. But, someone said to me that saying it is better than keeping it." He approaches her slowly and puts his hands on her shoulders.
