Chapter 18

The next day...

The breakfast was quiet. Y/N just glared at Yena and she just looks down.

"Y/N, you can both go to work together right?"

"Wait... t-together?"

"She works in our company and she works under you. You could go to work with her together."

"She can just use a bus, can't she? Why should I give her a ride?"

"Y/N. Why couldn't you just give her a ride to work? And I still don't understand why you're being so mad at her."

"I just don't like strangers."

"Ah, so you expect me to not like Minju as well?"

"Father. What are you talking about?"

"Why? Explain to me why you dislike her?"

"You just pick her up from the street and bring her here? Don't you know there aren't any trustworthy people out there?"

"So you're saying that she's bad?"

"Yes. We don't know her. She could be planning a scheme to ruin our family."

"Goo Y/N!" Chairman Cha raises her voice.

"Stop it you two. Why are you two fighting in front of the food? Just stop it." They continued eating and Y/N just glared at her.

After the high tension breakfast, Chairman Cha leaves to work and Y/N enters his car. Yena then goes out to walk her way to the office.

Then Mrs. Shin saw Yena. She goes to bring her back to go to Y/N's car. She knocks on the window and Y/N lowers it.

"Y/N, your father told you to go with Yena together to work."

"Mother, I don't want to." He said in annoyance.

"That's alright Mrs. Shin. I was going to walk just now anyway. You can go, sir."

"See. Mother, let her walk on her own to the office. I'm going to be late. Bye, mother."

"Yah Goo Y/N! Bring her with you. Why are you so selfish?" Y/N raises his window and Yena bowed at him.

She bows to Mrs. Shin who was insisting for Yena to go with Y/N. Mrs. Shin gives up and goes back inside the house after Yena left. Y/N starts up his car and drives off to work.

However, once he passes her he stopped about 100m away from her. She reaches closer and closer but it seems like she doesn't mind about him.

He was contemplating whether to get her in the car or not. After a while of thinking, he goes in front of her and stopped.

Yena was surprised with him stopping the car in front of her. She goes towards the car window on the passenger's seat beside him. He lowers the window to talk to her.

"Hello, sir. Aren't you going to work? Is there any problem with your car?"

"Get in." He said in a monotone voice.

"Y-Yes?"

"I said get in."

"Ah, it's alright sir. I can just ride a bus."

"My father's gonna be pissed at me if he knows I'm not letting you ride the car to go to work together."

"But-"

"Just get in." He stared at her.

Yena hesitates to get in but she enters the car eventually. Y/N continues driving to the company.
