Chapter 25

Y/N goes to Minju's office to ask her out for lunch. He knocks on the door and comes in after hearing her voice allowing him to enter.

"Hello, babe." Y/N greets her with a smile and Minju stands up to kiss him.

"How's my baby today?~" His smiley and bright-looking face suddenly turned grim.

"What's wrong baby? Something happened?"

"I'm kinda doing good and not good."

"And why is that?"

"I still need to explain things clearly to your parents."

"Babe, I already talked to them and they understood."

"No babe. I need to face your dad and mom to explain things. I really love you, babe. No one else." Minju gives a warm smile to Y/N.

"I know that. And I also love you so much."

"Let's have lunch with your parents."

"Alright baby. I'll ask them." Minju called her parents and then they both head to lunch together.

They drive off to a fancy restaurant and meet up with Minju's parents. They both take a seat in front of them.

"Hello, Mr. Kim. Hello Mrs. Kim."

"Mm." Mr. Kim replied with a hum. The waiter comes to take their food order.

"Hello, sir. What can I do for you today?'

"Give me one filet mignon, please. What do you want to eat, babe?"

"Hm... Give me one Chateaubriand steak, please." Minju said.

"Uhh, what do you prefer, Mr. Kim?" Y/N asks nervously.

"Same as you." He replied.

"Mrs. Kim? What do you prefer?"

"Give me another Chateaubriand steak. I want it medium."

"What about your drinks, sir?"

"Babe, what do you want for a drink?"

"Anything you want I'll take it."

"Alright. Two avocado smoothies, please." The waiter jots down the order while Y/N asks Minju's parents again.

"What would you like to drink, Mr. Kim, Mrs. Kim?"

"Two orange juice. No dessert." He replied to Y/N.

"That's all. Thank you." Y/N told the waiter.

"Alright, sir." The waiter leaves and now Y/N confronts Mr. Kim.

"M-Mr. Kim..." He's a bit scared but tries to talk to him.

"I'm really sorry about what had happened that day. It was truly just a mistake and I don't have any feelings towards that girl. The only girl I love is your daughter, Mr. Kim." Mr. Kim didn't reply anything and Y/N changes his attention to Mrs. Kim.

"Mrs. Kim, I'm being sincere and honest right now. I really don't have any feelings for that girl. Minju is the only one I love. Always and forever." Mrs. Kim didn't say anything but she just puts her hand on top of his and rubs her thumb with a smile.

"I'm really sorry you two. I just need to let out the guilty feeling I've had since that day. I need to clarify myself and speak the truth about it." Minju holds Y/N's hand on the table and gives a reassuring smile.

Then, Mr. Kim let out a sigh and shakes his head. Y/N's nervousness and fear increase because of it.

"You don't have to clarify yourself, Y/N. I know you love my daughter so much. And I know you wouldn't dare to hurt her. Just don't be too mean with your helper. We heard the sound of something breaking and we were worried." Y/N's heart becomes relieved after hearing his father-in-law's words.
