Chapter 14

"Hello, sir. It's my first time meeting you. I'm Choi Yena. I'll be your helper from now on."

"WHAT?!"

Y/N was so shocked hearing her statement. He couldn't believe what he's seeing. He's stunned right on the spot and couldn't utter a word. Memories flash through his mind quickly.

The girl who once he considered his first love, his princess, his everything became his despair, his lost hope, and the one he hates the most.

The girl appeared once again in front of him. He just couldn't say anything and stares at her.

"Ah what are you doing? Aren't you gonna sit down?" He slowly approaches her and sits beside Chanhee.

"F-Father. Who is this?"

"As she had said, she's gonna be your helper from now on."

"Father, why didn't you discuss with me first?"

"I wanted it to be a little bit of a surprise to you. Well, you've been overworking a lot. It's time you need a helper that can help you handle your work when you want to rest."

"But I never said I wanted any helper."

"Yes, you never said it. But it's me who wants you to have a helper."

"Why? I can handle myself and I have a secretary. I can give all the work to my secretary if I want to rest."

"Why won't you want a helper? It'll make your job and life easier. You're acting strange today."

"I am completely alright as of now. Yes, I had a fever once or twice because of overworking but still I am fine. I have a secretary. I have a team. They can always handle my job whenever I'm feeling sick or have any important stuff." Y/N tried to not make it obvious that he knew her.

"Just go with it Y/N. I want to ease your burden and let her work. Besides, she deserves to work here. Don't worry Y/N. She's a hardworking girl. She's gonna help you in all of your works." Y/N didn't know what other way he can tell his dad without making it seem like he knows her already.

"Yena ssi. You're gonna work with him and please obey him well. Don't ever get on his bad side. He's... a hothead sometimes."

"Father."

"I was joking. Kind of. Anyways, I hope you both could work well with each other. Always obey your boss, Yena ssi. You can always report anything to me as well."

"Alright, sir." She bows at him. Y/N and Yena's eyes meet and Y/N only glares at her.

"You may go back to your office Y/N. Yena ssi, please follow him."

"Alright, sir." Y/N stands up and exits feeling annoyed. Yena bowed at Chanhee and Chairman Cha before following Y/N to his office.

The walk to Y/N's office was quiet. Once they reached the elevator and entered, the situation becomes more awkward and silent.

Yena steals a few glances at him and he noticed it. He kept on quiet and stares at the reflection from the elevator door.

Once they arrived at Y/N's office's floor, they walk to the office still in silence. Yena could only look down and make a polite hand.

They entered the office and all the workers were looking at her. Seonghyeon looks at the figure behind Y/N and his eyes widened in surprise. Y/N goes to his place and looks down at his table.

"Everyone listen." He garnered everyone's attention.

"The person you guys are seeing in front of you is Choi Yena. She is gonna be my helper from now on so she will be handling my work if I ever do not attend to work. Greet them." Yena looks at all of them and bowed.
