Hello (IZ*ONE Yena x M!Reader)

Chapter 1

Water starts to trickle from the heavens above. From afar a young man can be seen pedaling his bicycle with all his strength to get to his destination before it starts to rain cats and dogs.

When he reached the parking lot, he put on the safety lock of his bike and sprinted to the nearest place with a roof. But luck was not on his side as the rain got heavy and soaks him.

Not wanting to miss the lesson by his professor, he braves himself to enter the class in his wet state. He knocked on the door and heard a faint 'Come in.'

He opens the door and stepped in while fixing his glasses. Other students stifle themselves from laughing out loud at him. To them he's the weird kid in class, so people didn't really give him respect or recognition.

Except for one person...

He pulls out a chair and sat beside his friend.

"You could've called me earlier and I would've picked you up with my car." He said with a slight annoyance on his face.

"Sorry Jae hyung. I don't want to be a bother to you." Park Jaehyung. A friend to him but older by age. He entered college later from the people of his age due to him deciding to serve in the military first.

"Yo dude, there's no harm in me giving a ride. I'm even in the same class you idiot." He scoffed at him.

"Alright hyung. Sorry. Look I'll call you if I need anything." He chuckled seeing Y/N apologizing to him.

"Good. Trust me. I'm your only friend anyway." They both smiled at each other before giving their attention to the professor.

"What's your next class?" He asked Jae.

"I'm on a free period now. I'll go hang out with my bandmates." This is going to suck for Y/N since he'll be alone in the next class.

"Your next class...hmm..." Jae frowns when he realizes what his next class is.

"It's Personal Finance right? Damn it." He cursed under his breath.

"Hyung I'll be fine. Really." He tries to assure him.

"You're not going to be fine. Look, I'm just trying to watch out for you here." He puts on a worried tone.

"I know hyung, thank you for that. Ah, I'm late. Gotta go!" He jogs away from where he was just now. 

'Are you really going to be fine?'

After jogging his way to the classroom, Y/N can see there's still not a lot of students have entered the room. He took a seat in the middle part of the classroom so he can have a clear view of his crush.

More students start coming in as the time for the class to start is getting closer. Y/N waited and waited until finally, a girl with blonde hair walks into the room with some guy who has his arm over her shoulder. 

Laughing and showing their PDA to the people around them including Y/N. Choi Yena, his first and only crush that he has since he was a freshman last year.

"Baby, I'm going to sit next to Y/N, okay?"

She winked at her so-called boyfriend before leaving him and sat right next to Y/N. Y/N was caught off guard by her sudden action to sit beside her.

"H-Hi, Yena-ya." He shyly nods at her.

"Hi, Y/N! So... Can we be partners for the next project? Come on~ Let's be partners~" She grabs his arm and used her sultry voice to get his attention.
