Chapter 38

*notification sound*

As Hyungwon was scrolling through the internet, he received a notification from his boss, Y/N.

Y/N ordered Hyungwon to take control of the office, and it made him gasp. His gasp could be heard by his peer beside him, which is Jooheon.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"A burdening news just arrived at me."

"What is it?" Hyungwon looks at Yena and then goes towards her.

"Yena-ssi. Could you help me?"

"Yes?"

"Let's talk outside."

"Sure." They both went outside, and Hyungwon's concerned look made Yena curious.

"Is there anything wrong, Hyungwon-ssi?"

"Here." He hands her his phone, and she gasped upon seeing the message.

"Where is Mr. Goo right now?"

"I don't know. Well, Mr. Goo stated that he is somewhere in the country, trying to figure out a way to solve his personal problem." Yena understood him and what Y/N was trying to convey through the message.

"He needs some time to think. Let's just go inside and inform all of them." Hyungwon gave a slight nod before they enter the room.

"Excuse me, but I need all of your attention. Hyungwon and I have something to announce." They all stopped their work and focused on the two.

"It appears that Mr. Goo will be absent for a while, and I will be in charge of his position during his absence." The news surprised the rest.

"And he hopes nothing bad will happen to our team and company during his absence. He needs all of us to cooperate. If any of us doesn't know some things about our tasks, we can always ask each other or Chairman Cha." Hyungwon explains.

"One more thing, he wishes all of us good luck." Yena added.

"When will he be back?" Yuju asked.

"We don't know. But I'm sure he'll return to the company once he fixes his personal problems." Yena said.

"I see. Well, good luck Hyungwon-ssi. We'll help you if you need anything." Sowon said.

"Do you guys have any objections to me being in charge?" Hyungwon asked with concern.

"Nope. As far as we've seen, you're the most diligent and responsible person out of all of us. But Mr. Goo could've chosen Seonghyeon because he's Mr. Goo's secretary." Jooheon said.

"Maybe Y/N sees potential in Hyungwon-ssi. Don't worry, we all know that Hyungwon-ssi is a hardworking man." Yena said. They all agreed on Hyungwon being the replacement of Y/N.

"Alright. You guys can continue working." They all continued their work, and both Hyungwon and Yena sit down.

Yena nods and sends two fists as a gesture of encouragement to Hyungwon. The substantial role and responsibility he has to take from now on put his heart under a lot of pressure, yet a bright smile from Yena was enough to boost his mood. He looked at her and replied with a faint smile.
