Chapter 37: The Sleepover

Y/n POV

"Well, what should we do? Honestly, it's my first time having a sleepover with you two." Chaeyoung said.

"Well, we should go to sleep. Because we have exams tomorrow." I lectured her. 

"Aww. You're no fun." Nayeon said pouting. "Sleepovers should be wild and fun."

"But we have exams tomor-" I said before Nayeon cut me off.

"That's tomorrow. We still have plenty of time to do something anyway." She said dismissively. 

I sighed.

"Well.....Y/n. Nayeonnie does have a point." Chaeyoung said causing Nayeon to blush at her nickname. "It's still 7:57 PM so we have some time."

"Yeah. Y/n. Don't be a spoilsport." Nayeon said grabbing one of my hands and looking at me with puppy-dogs eyes. 

"I-" I started when Chaeyoung suddenly grabbed my other hand.

"Come on Y/n/n. Won't you let loose for a while?" She whined and gave me puppy-dog eyes too.

These girls are going to be the death of me. I thought sighing. Well........I guess a couple of hours would be fine......

I sighed again.

"Alright. Fine." I said in a resigned tone. "But make sure to sleep before 10:00!"

"YAYYY!!! Thanks Y/n!!" Chaeyoung exclaimed and hugged me.

I blushed a little and hugged her back.

Nayeon just smiled at me and said, "Don't worry. We'll make sure to go to sleep by then."

I sighed and thought, This is alright. Right?

"We're going to watch a Kdrama!!" Chaeyoung shouted in excitement and turned on her TV.

"Wait. Aren't those addictiv-" I said before Nayeon switched the channel to one with a Kdrama. 

2 hours later

"Noooo!!! Don't stay with that (BLEEP!)!!" Nayeon shouted, crying. 

"Don't choose her!!!! Just go with freaking Ji-won already!!!" Chaeyoung shouted sobbing into her pillow.

Urgh!! I freaking hate how the antagonist is such a good actress here. I thought grinding my teeth. She convinced the main character that the other one is a bad person.

"Woojin(Antagonist portrayed by Oh Yeon-seo)....." Mira (Main character portrayed by Park Bo-young) said. ".....I-I don't know.....if I should be in a relationship right now..."

Woojin sighed and said, "I understand. I'll wait for you. Just know I will always be there for you."

"Thanks Woojin. You're all I have right now." Mira said and hugged her.

"NOOOO!!!! YOU IDIOT!!!" Nayeon and Chaeyoung screamed.

I glanced at them with a worried expression.

I looked back at the TV.

Imji (Deuteragonist and first love portrayed by Kim Ji-won) walked up the path with a gloomy expression and was swinging her arms around a little.

Then, she saw the two hugging and stopped. Her gloomy expression turned into a sad one and her eyes became red as tears gathered up.

Mira....I'm sorry I can't protect you from her. Imji thought as a tear ran down her face. 

The ending song started playing as Imji continued to just watch Woojin and Mira hugging.

"NOOO!! Confront that (BLEEP!!) you (BLEEP!!)!!!" Nayeon shouted and cried harder.

"Just communicate and everything will be alright!!" Chaeyoung said sobbing.

Even I had to wipe away a few tears at the ending scene.

I don't know why. But the Kdrama is growing on me. I thought and conjured more tissues.

I dabbed my eyes before handing a box to Chaeyoung and Nayeon.

"Hey. I need to go to the restroom. I'll be right back." I said to them but I wasn't sure if they heard me with all the crying they did. 

I stepped out into the hallway and noticed that Jihyo's prescence wasn't in the house. Which meant she was probably outside shopping. 

"Hmmmmm....." I said and glanced behind me and heard them cry harder.

"Well, that solves that problem." I said and quickly jumped up and grabbed the creature lurking in the shadows by the throat.

It opened its mouth but I quickly squeezed it shut and pinned down the creature onto the floor.

My eyes widened.

"I-Impossible....how are one of you here?" I muttered.

The creature beneath resembled a grotesque combination of bear, crocadile, and bat.

Its small wings fluttered uselessly as its large body thrashed around. 

I quickly opened the window using telekinesis before throwing it outside.

Then, I jumped out too and landed on top of it before it could react. 

It writhed in pain and swung its tail at me.

I grabbed it and summoned a sword and cut the tail off.

The creature was about to howl in pain before I clamped its mouth shut by stepping on its lower jaw. 

"Quiet. I don't want those two to know you're here." I said to it and its legs suddenly lunged at me with its claws. 

I just stabbed it through its stomach and pinned it to the ground with my sword.

I muttered a small spell on the sword which caused it to get stuck in the ground.

"Now..........how did you get here?" I asked it.

It struggled violently and snapped at me with its jaws.

"Hmmmm......wrong answer." I said and snapped my fingers. 

Chains wrapped around its body and prevented it from struggling it too hard.

It struggled for a bit more before giving up. 

"Walk.....shadow....bridge...." It said and hissed at me.

"The shadow bridge?" I said and frowned. "But that can only be open if......if....."

I turned around and thought, No way. There's no way any of them could still be alive.....

The creature suddenly lunged at me while I was seemingly distracted, ignoring the fact that there was now a gaping hole where its stomach was supposed to be.

I spun around and moved so fast and it didn't even have time to blink before I slashed it in half with another sword. 

"The shadow bridge......." I said as its body disintegrated. "I need to tell Jihyo."

Yes. This is an update for this book. I didn't forget about it. This is my very first Twice fanfic after all.
