Chapter 22: The Rescuing Part 2

Jeongyeon POV

We stepped through that large opening-portal thing.

"What do you call this? A portal?" Dahyun asked.

Y/n shrugged and smiled.

"You can call it whatever you want." She said.

I walked through the portal and felt a wave of coldness wash over me.

I shivered as I stepped through the portal as darkness seemed to envelop me preventing me from seeing where I was going.

Dahyun held my hand and smiled at me.

Suddenly, a wave of heat washed over us.

The darkness that had surrounded us disappeared and we appeared in front of huge scarred remains of a building that were on fire.

"What the fudge?" I said and Dahyun and I surveyed the whole landscape.

We heard a gasp behind us and saw Tzuyu and Mina step out of the portal.

Then, Y/n and Nayeon stepped out.

"I didn't think she would go this overboard." I heard Y/n mutter.

"What?" I said and suddenly we felt a huge wind come towards us.

I gritted my teeth and held onto Dahyun as the wind pushed us back slightly.

The wind suddenly died down and we looked up to see a woman float down.

"Wait...." I said.

"Is that....." Dahyun said with a frown.

"Jihyo?" Tzuyu said.

We rubbed our eyes to see if we were seeing things.

"I still see Jihyo." Mina said.

"Why'd you bring them here?" Jihyo asked suddenly appearing right in front of Y/n.

"Why did you destroy this entire building?" Y/n asked.

"It had no useful information." Jihyo answered. "Now answer my question."

"They're part of my plan." Y/n said. 

"Which is?" Jihyo asked.

"Bait." Y/n said smiling.

"What?" We all exclaimed.

"Aren't you two goddesses? Why can't you just use your power to figure out where she is?" Mina asked.

"Well......" Y/n glanced nervously at Jihyo who sighed.

"There's.....something clouding around her preventing us from seeing her." Jihyo said hesitantly.

"You mean there's something more powerful than Y/n and you?" I asked.

"Not exactly. More like something more powerful than Y/n." Jihyo said.

"What about you then?  Why can't you find her? And first of all, who are you? Really?" Dahyun asked while also rapping from besides me.

"I'll explain later. So you want to attach a beacon on their souls to find out where Chaeyoung is being held as you're assuming they'll bring them to the same place?" Jihyo asked.

"Yes." Y/n said nodding. "If....that's okay with you guys?"

Y/n looked at us.

"I understand if you don't want to follow through. This plan is dangerous." Y/n said with a serious look. "If you don't want to take the risk, then you don't have to do this."
