Chapter 13: Solving the Eagle's Problem Part 3

I feel like the quality of these chapters is slowly going down. If they were ever really good in the first place.

Chaeyoung POV

"So Jeongyeon, what do you want?" I asked.

"You." She said winking at me causing the other two girls with me to affix her with a death glare.

I glared at her and said, "No. I meant from the cafe menu."

Jeongyeon laughed and said, "Alright. No need to get mad at me you three. I just want some black coffee."

"Eeeww." I said wrinkling my nose. "Why do you like that stuff?"

"Because I care about my health?" Jeongyeon said raising her eyebrows.

"You're still young." I said scoffing. "You can afford to drink unhealthy stuff."

"Can never start too early." She said shrugging. "What about you guys?"

I held up my strawberry milk that I had bought earlier.

"I already got mine." I said before I turned around and clasped Nayeon and Y/n's hands. "You guys forgot to order earlier. What do you want?"

They both blushed for some reason.

"I-I'd just like some tea." Nayeon stammered.

"M-Me t-too." Y/n also stammered.

"Okay." I said excitedly and called a waitor to place our orders.

"So....why did you suddenly invite me here after a few weeks of ignoring me?" Jeongyeon asked. 

I was suddenly at a loss for words as I forgot what I was supposed to say in a situation like this. I was tempted to bring out my script I wrote down.

"Just wanted to clear some things up between us." Nayeon said saving me.

"Okay then." Jeongyeon said. "Chaeyoung.....look...I'm sorry for abandoning you guys so suddenly...and leaving you at her mercy."

She gestured towards Nayeon who paled and looked away biting her lips.

Y/n patted her hands before saying, "Why don't you tell that to Dahyun?"

"W-well....she's been avoiding me." Jeongyeon said sighing.

"Or maybe it's because you don't have to courage to try to face your problem." I said coldly even surprising myself at how I acted.

Jeongyeon looked taken aback and looked down.

"Here's your orders ladies." The waitor said coming up and placing down our drinks. 

"Thank you." Y/n said smiling at her.

She nodded and walked away.

"L-Look. It's not that I'm afr-" Jeongyeon started before I cut her off.

"Then why haven't you tried harder? Everytime Dahyun avoids you or tells you to go away, don't you think that she wishes that you would try and fix your mistakes instead of giving up so easily? Look....I know that you and her have some distance between you guys. But if you really loved her, then shouldn't you close it?" I asked.

Everyone looked at me with wide eyes.

"Wow. Chaeyoung. I never you could be like this." Nayeon said fanning herself for some reason along with Y/n. 

"You're right." Jeongyeon said in a low voice. "I have been avoiding the issue."

"You should go and talk to her and if she tries to avoid you again, just press harder and make her talk." I said patting her hand then smiling brightly.
