Chapter 30: The Eve of Nayeon's Party

In another world

Third-Person POV

The skies suddenly trembled and the ground shook as the land itself was heaved upwards before crashing down.

Suddenly, huge cracks appeared in the sky and portals opened sending out blinding light into the darkness of this world.

The creatures here rose up snarling only to be blinded by the light and vaporized.

Then, huge armies of living rock and metal as well as holy spirits poured out from the cracks led by shining warriors encased in white and gold armor wielding large weapons such as giant swords and even some technologically advanced cannons who fired more of the blinding light.

The warriors were riding fearsome dragons whose white fire burned the ground, healing it instead of scorching it. 

The remaining creatures charged blindly at the incoming army but were quickly overwhelmed.

The army landed and giant silver pillars covered in runes fell from the sky chasing away the darkness.

"That was a success. We took almost no casualties. Somi's inventions and planning really payed off." One of the warriors leading the army said.

"Don't get cocky. This was probably only a fraction of the enemies her-" Another warrior said before the ground trembled once again. 

But this time, figures emerged from the ground as huge hordes of creatures emerged from the ground and swarmed towards the shining army.

"Everyone! Prepare yourselves!" A huge warrior said and raised their axe.

The cannons once again sent forth blinding light that vaporized the front hordes but the backlines suddenly leaped forward. closing the distance between them and the army in a second.

"Archers!! Gunners!! Keep firing!" The huge warrior said before jumping into the frontlines and causing a huge explosion that killed many of the creatures.

After several hours, despite killing many creatures, the army was faltering as endless wave after wave of creatures swarmed towards the army when suddenly another blinding light appeared from the cracks and vaporized all of the creatures present.

"Tch. Such a nuisance." A voice said.

"My queen." The huge warrior said and kneeled along with the rest of the army.

"Sorry but the reinforcements were preoccupied with an attack right at out doorstep. I came here to help you take care of the infestation here while my husband and generals took care of the forces back there." The voice said.

"Thank you Queen Jihyo." The huge warrior said.

Mina POV

I gasped waking up and clutching the blanket with sweaty hands.

"Wh-What was that?" I muttered to myself. "What did I just see? T-Tha can't be a d-dream. That was too real. Almost like I was there......"

I shook my head and slapped myself.

"No no no Mina. That was nothing. Nothing. Just a dream. Just a dream." I said before hugging my teddy tightly.

"Just a dream."

Y/n POV

"You want to try the lemon-squeezed key-lime striated cherry-on-top double-whipped simmered heated sugar pumpkin watermelon mixed berry but without everything in front of the word watermelon smoothie?" The cashier asked.
