Chapter 31: Nayeon's Party Part 1

Chaeyoung POV

"🎜🎜내가 이렇게도 이기적이었던가🎜🎜
🎜🎜뭔가 이렇게 갖고 싶던 적 있었나 (있었나)🎜🎜" I sang as I was making some strawberry jam.

I was going to make these as a gift for Y/n and Nayeon......but I couldn't resist. So I ate the ones I made previously and now I have to make some more.

The party is in 2 hours so I have plenty of time. And besides, Nayeon always grows the best strawberries. I thought humming.

"Hey." A voice said next to me and I yelped and leaped backwards.

"W-Who are you?" I asked pointing a knife at her.

"Relax. I'm just here to help. And also, don't you remember me?" The woman said pouting at me.

I frowned and searched within my memory.

Wait. I think I remember her. I thought.

"Y-You were with Momo on that day we were at the mall....what was your name again?" I said looking at the ceiling and trying to remember her name.

"It's Sa-" The woman said before I interrupted her.

"Satana. Or someting like that right?" I said smiling. "Or maybe it was Snake."

"Satana." She said before sighing. "It's Sana. Okay. Don't listen to what those other two tell you."

"Whatever you say Satana." I said before going back to my jam-making. "Can you help me make jam? You said you were here to help."

"Sure. What song?" Satana (Sana) said looking through her phone.

"Song?" I asked looking at her confused.

"Yeah." She said looking at me before widening her eyes. "Oh. You m-meant actual jam. Sorry."

Satana (Sana) quickly put away her phone and put on some gloves and an apron and attempted to help me.

5 minutes later

"How do you make jam out of strawberries?" Satana (Sana) asked me.

I sighed.

"I thought you were a goddess." I said.

"So? Doesn't mean I know everything!" She said with her nostrils flaring.

"Well.........you follow these intructions I found online." I said pointing at my laptop in front of us that was displaying the instructions full-screen with a huge title that had flashing letters saying, 'How to make Strawberry Jam'.

"Oh sorry. Didn't see that there." Satana said before proceeding to go one with whatever she was doing.

I sighed and went back to work.

An eternity later

I wrapped up the three jars and put them in the present box before wrapping that up as well.

"There. Done." I said and looked at Satana who was struggling to wrap up her present.

"By the way, why did you want to help me?" I asked.

"Out of the goodness of my heart." She answered before she loudly murmured. "Also, I didn't know what to give her."

There's that I guess. I thought before I looked at the clock. 30 minutes left.

"Alright. Places everyone." I said to all the people in the room decorating it.

"Oh fudge!!" Dahyun exclaimed when she fell down from her ladder after being startled.

"I'll catch you!!" Jeongyeon yelled and promptly fell down with Dahyun after missing her and tripping over her collapsed body.

"Pfft. What an idiot." Tzuyu said before she stepped on a piece of stray wrapping paper and fell down.

I giggled while Sana laughed loudly at her.

"Who put that there?!!!" She yelled as she rose up with her eyes blazing.

"Oh...it was me." Mina said softly looking down. "I-I'm sorry. I accidently left that there."

"Oh no. It's okay!!" Tzuyu said with a soft voice before kissing Mina multiple times. "Good job actually. You reminded me why I need to be more careful. And you gave everyone here a good laugh."

"Really?" Mina said with her eyes sparkling.

"So precious!!" Momo, Tzuyu, Sana, and I exclaimed.

"Hey Sana. Does this wire go in here or in here?" Momo asked Sana as she was deciding which socket to put the cord to the lights in.

"Just put them in any one of them!! I told you 100 times already!!!" Sana exclaimed. "Also, stop lighting the couch on fire!!"

I sighed and looked at the clock again.

"I think I have an idea how to get these people under control." I said to myself.

Y/n POV

"And you see that ramp. We can use it as a ramp." I said pointing at a lamppost.

"That's a lamppost." Nayeon said looking at me. 

"Oh...ummm....I meant.....uh see that zombie. We can...uhhh....wait what?" I said looking at the zombie in confusion.

"Is that an actual zombie?" Nayeon asked.

"Yeah. Let me get rid of it real quick." I said waving my hand and the zombie disintegrated. 

"Anyway, it was nice of you to let Chaeyoung have some alone time and for you to take me out on this date and all." Nayeon said.

"D-Date?!" I said choking on photons before coughing. "I-it's *cough* not a date *cough cough*."

"Then why did you bring me out to a fancy restaurant and bring me to the couples section and give me a matching ring through the food? And we did things I like to do like shopping for the makeup that I like and playing with my bunny and dogs." Nayeon said raising her eyebrow at me.

"T-That's..." I said.

Fudge. I was just trying to keep her distracted long enough so the others could get the party all set up. I panicked and I accidently made a reservation in the couples section and they feature a complementary ring for your partner and you. I thought. Also, after that lunch I was out of ideas so I just went with something I thought she liked to keep her occupied. 

Nayeon looked at me with questionning eyes.

I sent a telepathic message to Sana and Momo.

"Hurry up!!!" I said to them.

"ARGHDJNDFDJKSNKJFNDKJBJ!!!!" I heard Momo say.

"MOMO. NOOO!!!! THE LIGHTS!!!!" I heard Sana say.

"Things are kind of out of control here." I heard Jihyo say to me.

"When did you get there?" I asked Jihyo.

"I heard you needed help from Chaeyoung." Jihyo said. "Hurry up and end your date with Nayeon and get over here. We're almost finished."

"Fine." I said.

"Hey I think we should go back to Chaeyoung. We can discuss this later." I said patting myself on the back for steering the conversation away.

Nayeon stared at me for a while making me feel a bit nervous.

"Fine." She finally said. "But you better give me an answer later."

Phew. I thought.

"Let's go then." I said before she grabbed my hand and dragged me to her car.
