Yes. That's literally what it is. I hope you guys aren't like this but respect authors. We try really hard to write the stories you like so asking to update when we're already trying our best is disrespectful. I know you guys haven't done this so far and I'm glad. I love you all. But please respect the committment author's put into their works. Even if they may not finish a book, please respect their decision. They might have really good reasons for doing so.
Alright. That's why I wrote this short chapter so I can say this message and also because I don't really have the time to write a full-length chapter for a while so enjoy.
Y/n POV
Is. That. Nayeon. I thought as I gritted my teeth. What is she doing here?
"Focus. Focus. Focus." I whispered to myself and my anger slowly went away.
"Y/n? Are you alright?" Chaeyoung asked looking at me closing my eyes and clenching my fists.
"Y-Yes. I'm alright." I said.
I'm not jealous. I'm totally not jealous. I..I...I'm jealous? I thought to myself.
I gasped really hard and everyone in the class looked at me.
"Ms. Y/n. Is there something wrong?" The teacher asked.
"Nothing Ms. Lila." I said and composed myself. "I just realized I did do my homework after all."
"Oh yeah. That reminds me. Class. Turn in your homework." Ms. Lila said clapping her hands at the class.
Most of them gave me a stink eye as they turned in blank or partly finished worksheets and returned to their seats.
"Oh no." Chaeyoung said with a panicked tone. "I forgot to do it."
"Oh. Don't worry Chaeng. I'm sure the teacher will be lenient." Nayeon said and hugged her.
"Yeah. Chaeyoung. Don't worry about it. You did it remember?" I asked.
"I-I did?" She asked tilting her head.
"Yep. Just turn it in." I said and took her hand and smiled. "Don't you remember asking me for help yesterday?"
"Uhhmmmm...maybeeee." She said slowly before getting up and pulling out a completed worksheet.
She squealed in happiness and hugged me and ran up to the teacher to turn in her homework.
Nayeon gave me a glare and said, "And who are you?"
"You don't remember me?" I asked raising my eyebrow.
"N-wait. You're that girl who said she was Chaeyoung's guardian and forced us to stop bullying Chaeyoung." She said.
"Technically, I just scolded you and you stopped bullying her but yes I am her guardian." I said smirking at her.
Why am I acting like this? I thought to myself.
I sighed and held my hand out.
"I'm Y/n. I hope we get along." I said and scratched my neck.
She glared at me for a few seconds before her face broke into a grin and she shook my hand.
"Nice to meet you too. I'm Nayeon." She said excitedly.
I heard muffled laughing and I saw Chaeyoung laughing at us covering her mouth.
"You already know each other. Why are you introducing yourselves?" She asked giggling.
"Hey! We're trying to be civil here!" We both protested and Chaeyoung broke out laughing.
"You two are funny and cute." She said laughing.
We both blushed and forced her to sit down.
I clung onto her left arm while Nayeon clung onto her right arm.
Chaeyoung blushed and said, "Uhhhh.....should I be happy or nervous?"
"Someone's confident." I said and poked her cheek.
Nayeon agreed and poked her other cheek.
Time skip
I don't know why but me and Nayeon became close friends even though we're rivals.
I shrugged and thought.
I'd rather be friends than enemies.
I sighed and I muttered under my breath.
"Fine. I admit it. I fell for her....wait. No. No. Nooo!"
"What's wrong?" Nayeon asked while Chaeyoung checked my temperature.
"Uhhhh....nothing. Just a little stressed with the upcoming tests." I said chuckling nervously.
"Don't push yourself too hard." Chaeyoung said with a concerned expression. "You don't need to be the best at everything."
I was about to say something when a blur came out of nowhere and tackled Chaeyoung.
Me and Nayeon's eyes widened as we looked down at what tackled Chaeoung.
