Chapter 7: A Date With Nayeon

Chaeyoung POV

I threw myself down onto the bed after I got home from school and stretched my arms and legs.

"Ahhhh. The weekends sure are great." I said smiling. "Wonder what I'll do this weekend since the teachers didn't assign anything except that project on this new virus."

"Why are you talking to yourself?" Jihyo asked coming into the room.

"Just happy that the weekends are coming up Auntie." I said smiling.

"Well that's nice and all, but remember you agreed to hang out with Nayeon." Jihyo said rummaging through my closet. "Put these on."

She gave me a pair of jeans, a white t-shirt, and a leather jacket.

"Get ready in 30 minutes." She said and walked out.

Wow. She seems to be so eager to get me to meet my old bully again. I thought.

After I put on the clothes and some make-up, I went downstairs and went into the car.

"So remember to tell Nayeon to bring you back by 6:00 PM and don't do anything dangerous." Jihyo said. "And remember to have fun."

"Alright auntie." I said giggling. "But why are so eager to let me meet the person who bullied me for two years?"

"I feel as if she actually feels remorse for her actions. So I want to have her a chance to prove herself." Jihyo said.

I nodded and looked out the window.

After a while, we arrived at Nayeon's house which seemed to be really big but not that big compared to my house.

We got out of the car and we walked up to the front door.

Jihyo knocked and we waited patiently as I looked around.

I saw the big lawn and I saw a big tree along with a carrot garden at the side of the house.

Carrots? I thought.

Suddenly, the door opened and I saw a woman standing there.

"Hello! You must be Jihyo and you must be Chaeyoung." The woman said. "I'm Nayeon's mother."

"Hello. We are here for the scheduled meet-up." Jihyo said smiling.

"So formal." Nayeon's mom said chuckling. "Just call it a date."

"D-date?" I asked.

"A friendly one." Nayeon's mom said laughing. "Unless you want it to be romantic."

She gave me a look and I gulped.

"N-no! I wou-" I said before Nayeon's mom laughed and said, "I was kidding! I wouldn't mind it either way."

"Ummmm...okay ma'am." I said.

Just then, Nayeon appeared wearing leggings and a hoodie which covered her striped t-shirt. She looked a little bit nervous when she saw me.

"Twice?" I said as I read the word in big letters on the hoodie.

"Y-yeah. They're my favorite group." Nayeon said scratching her neck.

"Who's your favorite member?" I asked.

"I'm unsure about that, but I really like both the oldest one and the shortest one." Nayeon said smiling.

"Really? Me too!" I said smiling.

"Look at you two. Already getting along." Jihyo said smiling.
