Chapter 35: Studying for Exams

Y/n POV

I walked up the stairs of the school heading towards the lunchroom as I had to talk with Jihyo in the basement.

I thought back to what she said.

Flashback

"I'm certain. It's the Dark Lord." Jihyo said.

"But he's dead!!" I shouted.

"Calm down." She said waving her hand. "And apparently it's not the Dark Lord you killed. It's their descendent."

"But I killed them all." I said through gritted teeth. "I made sure of it."

"Well you missed one because the signs are all there." Jihyo said. 

I became silent as I thought about what to do.

"Listen Y/n. If I meet them, I'll take care of them. Don't worry." She said. "You just worry about your decision."

"What do you mean decision?" I asked.

"You'll know." Jihyo said smirking. "But for now, that's all I have to say."

Then, she warped space-time and disappeared.

Flashback end

I hate it when she does that. I thought.

I walked up the stairs and bumped into Jeongyeon and Nayeon.

Jeongyeon was carrying this huge lunchbox.

"Hey Y/n." She said.

"Why are you carrying that?" I asked staring at it. "And what is that?"

"Oh, first of all. Before I tell you what it is. Don't tell Dahyun about this okay?" Jeongyeon said to us. "Please."

"Okay." Nayeon said and walked inside the lunchroom.

"Well....this is a gift to Dahyunnie. She likes it when I pack some sort of surprise in her gifts so I made this pop-up that would say 'I love you Dahyunnie!' really loudly." Jeongyeon said.

"Here?!" I said incredulously.

"Yeahh...where else?" She asked tentatively. 

"Isn't this a bit of an awkward place to do so? And won't it be embarrassing?" I asked. "Also, is this stuff even allowed here?"

Jeongyeon frowned and opened her mouth then closed it.

"Hmmmm......maybe you're right...." Jeongyeon said after she thought about it. "Maybe I'll wait until later."

I glanced behind her.

"Well, too late. I'll see you in the afterlife Jeongyeon." I said and patted her shoulder.

"What do you mean?" She asked frowning.

Suddenly, a pale hand reached out and grabbed Jeongyeon's ear.

"Owww!" She whined. "Dahyunnie!!"

"What do you think you're doing bringing that here?" Dahyun hissed. "I love it when we're alone but it's not allowed here."

She twisted Jeongyeon's ear harder.

"OWWW!! I'm sorry Dahyunnie!! I won't do it again!!" Jeongyeon whined.

"Come with me." Dahyun said and dragged Jeongyeon somewhere.

I blinked and watched them go around a corner.

That was entertaining. I thought. Also, never thought Dahyun could be a top.

I shook my head and walked inside the lunchroom.

I spotted Chaeyoung's table and headed over there.

Chaeyoung POV

I looked up and saw Y/n sit down next to me.

"Hey Y/n!!" I shouted and waved at her. 

"Hello to you too." She said chuckling.

I gave her a dorky smile before turning back to my food.

"What about me?" Nayeon said sulking.

"I have no obligation to greet you everytime I see you." Y/n said.

Nayeon pouted and ate her food angrily.

"Where's Dahyun and Jeongyeon?" Tzuyu asked feeding Mina.

"Dahyun dragged Jeongyeon somewhere to scold her." Y/n said.

"Typical. Love that crazy couple." I said laughing.

"Hey Y/n, you're a goddess right?" Nayeon asked suddenly.

"Yeah." Y/n said.

"So you've lived for a long time right? And you've surely seen some historical events up personally, right?" Nayeon asked.

"Not all of them but yeah." Y/n said frowning.

"So can you help us out with our studying for out history mid-terms?" She asked.

"What?" Y/n said. "Can't you just have asked that first? I can also help you with other subjects too, you know."

"Phew. Well that's a relief." I said and shook my head. "If you weren't here, me and Nayeon would have probably failed."

"Hey, I would have been fine." Nayeon said sitting up and looking confident.

"Sure. And I'll be getting top colleges from around the world to beg me to go to their colleges in the next few minutes." I said chuckling.

"Would you like them to?" Y/n asked.

"Wait, can you?" I asked.

"I can arrange for it to happen." She said shrugging.

"Isn't that cheating?" Nayeon asked.

"Well....yeah." Y/n said frowning at her.

I giggled.

"Don't worry. It's fine. I just said it so that Nayeon would see how ridiculous it was that she going to do just fine by herself." I said.

"Hey!" Nayeon protested.

Me and Y/n laughed at her as she raged.

Dahyun and Jeongyeon came back at this time.

Jeongyeon was carrying a normal sized lunchbox.

"Let's eat now. Shall we?" Dahyun said glancing at Jeongyeon who was rubbing both her ears.

"Yes Dahyunnie." She said meekly.

I feel sorry for her. I thought stifling my laugh.

"What were we just talking about?" Dahyun asked.

"We were talking about how to study for mid-term exams." I said.

"Me and Mina don't need help." Tzuyu said feeding Mina again.

Mina smiled brightly at Tzuyu and she blushed hard.

Whipped. I thought.

"Anyway, I suggest we all go together and study in this one big group." Dahyun said.

Jeongyeon held a fork with a rice ball up to Dahyun and she ate it.

"Thanks jagiyah." Dahyun said and kissed her on the lips.

Jeongyeon's eyes widened and she froze.

Y/n's, Nayeon's, and my jaws dropped and we froze as well.

Tzuyu and Mina still continued what they were doing. Lost in their own world.

"What?" I managed to say after a while.

Well well well. A new chapter. Not as exciting as some others but this is a slow-paced story after all.

I've decided that I'll forego my 4 at a time rule for writing stories and release a fifth story. Coming out soon.
