"Shall I bring you back something? A sweet treat perhaps?" Luna turned her head as she awaited your answer.
"I've already got George on that. Thank you though Luna." You smiled at her as you shimmied your skirt up your hips. Before Luna walked out the door, you quickly zipped up your skirt. You took a couple steps forward and caught her shoulder just in time.
"I really like your outfit by the way. But it does need something." You turned toward your wardrobe and pulled out a small twine ring you made. It was silver twine with a small green gemstone that the wire was looped around.
"We have matching rings now." You sheepishly handed it over to her. "What if she doesn't like it?"
She inhaled and stared at it. She gently took it from your hands and placed it onto her left ring finger. She stared at it in awe.
"You're quite talented, y/n! Thank you very much. I'll treasure it forever." She held her hands together and met your eyes. This might have been the happiest you've ever seen her.
"I'm relieved you like it. Anyways, off you go."
"Right then. I'm going to bring you back a pastry anyway." She was out the door before you could fight her on it.

You took a look in the mirror and spun around, admiring your outfit. It was a short, high waisted denim skirt with a white turtleneck tucked into it. You wore matching white thigh high socks and a pair of black Mary Janes. Your hair was tied up into a pony tail.
You've always been very particular about dressing up everyday. Always needed to look nice. Maybe you just felt better knowing you looked your best when you can't see yourself. But for whatever reason, the habit serves you well.
"It's too bad George isn't here right now. I bet he would be beet red right now."
You snickered to yourself, blushing and thinking of his smirk.
You hadn't seen Kiki in some time, you dropped her off at Hagrids yesterday, so you could pick her up today. Maybe he would invite you in for some tea. You felt warm and cozy just thinking about it. So you took your Hogwarts robe off of a chair and threw it around your shoulders. It was already November, so it was rather chilly.
You walked down the halls and out of the castle, but as you approached the entryway you say Harry Potter, standing alone. He looked rather sad.
"Should I talk to him or would it be weird?"
You decided to approach him anyway and start a conversation.
"I suppose you don't have parents to sign the permission slip as well." You walked over and stood next to him. "That was insensitive. Stupid."
"Oh, hi y/n." He said. He was surprised to see you. He took a moment to process what you had said.
"Yeah. But it doesn't matter, my friends will have fun all the same. I'd like to see Hagrid today anyways."
"I was off to see him just now. I drop Kiki-my rabbit- off with him every Friday. Care to walk together?" You were calm on the outside, but internally you were a jumble of emotions.
"Oh yeah. That would be brilliant."
You began to awkwardly walk together. There was little to say, so you started a conversation.
"You seem rather off. Not to say I know you well at all. You just seem sad. I know that look well enough. Is something the matter?" "I'm getting too comfortable."
"Well, the first task is coming up in a few days. I'm nervous to say the least." He felt awkward talking about it, but felt sickly nervous saying it out load.
"That's right! I can't imagine how stressful that must be." There was little you could do to help, but you brought up the topic. You felt obligated to console him.
"Yeah. It's stressful alright. And on top of that, Ron hasn't spoken to me in days."
"Why won't he speak to you?" You were genuinely curious.
"I have no idea. He won't tell me that either."
A few more moments passed without any conversation. But the hut was now in sight. You were both relived to be there. Hagrid could diffuse the tension.
Once you approached the door, Harry knocked first. Hagrid was happy to see the both of you.
"Y/n, and Harry! Come in. Kikis just enjoyin' some salad I whipped up for her." He said. He turned to allow the both of you to enter.
The hut was just as cozy as ever. It was the homiest place you've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The lighting was warm, as was the temperature. Kiki was comfortably and munching on some greens in a wooden bowl. She never was as serene and calm without you as she was here.
"Thanks Hagrid. Harry and I could use a pick me up. Would you mind brewing some tea?" You inquired politely.
"O'course. How does jasmine sound? Just bought some from The Leaky Cauldron." He seemed just as excited as you and Harry.

Time went by. You, Harry and Hagrid were all laughing at the table and sipping tea. Having Hagrid as a buffer made it much easier for you and Harry to coexist. By the end of the hour, you and Harry were relaxed enough to leave and walk back to the school together.
"That was fun. Right Kiki?" You turned to you rabbit who was hopping along next to you.
You turned to Harry. "She said yes."
He laughed and looked down at the grass.
"So when did you get Kiki?" He looked back up to you.
"A few years ago. I found her as a baby in the forest. I was scared that my mum would hurt her, so I cared for her until she was all grown up. At that point my mum knew about her, but I managed to convince her that she could stay. Mummy responds well to confidence." You laughed a little, but you were nervous as to how Harry would react to your openness about your mother. He didn't know what to say, but he eventually found his words.
"Well Kiki is lucky to have you as a friend." He said shyly.
"I hear you have an owl?" You turned your head and smiled slightly. You were relieved that Harry was being nonchalant about this. He smiled and looked up at the sky.
"Yeah. Her name is Hedwig." He was obviously quite fond of her. "She's a white snowy owl. I got her before my first day at Hogwarts."
"That's a lovely meet cute." You said sarcastically, but earnestly at the same time. Harry laughed and fixed his glasses. You both saw the school in the distance. You parted ways and felt relived to have mended your relationship.
