Your first two weeks at the burrow were calm and entertaining. You and the twins spent most of your time outside. Frolicking, testing spells, and making snowmen. When you were indoors, Molly always had a cup of hot coco prepared and a game of wizard chess already set up. You and Ron had developed a slight rivalry in the game. It was always you two playing, sometimes Hermione joined but she preferred to sit and watch Ron play. And of course, George and Fred couldn't win the game for shit. So they mostly made bets. It was the most relaxing and blissful consecutive two weeks of your life.

One evening, after dinner, you stayed behind as you always do to help clean up. Everyone else had already left and gone to play in the living room.
"You should join them dear. I'm perfectly fine cleaning up the mess on my own tonight."
You continued to scrub at the dishes you were scrubbing.
"That's very kind, Mrs. Weasley, but I like to help. It's just kind of how I show my appreciation for everything you've done for me." You looked up from the plate and smiled softly at her. "These past two weeks have best the best of my life. You've shown me more hospitality than I've ever known. I don't even know how else I can repay that."
Molly stopped scrubbing the counter and turned to you.
"Oh dear there's nothing to repay. You're part of the family. This is your home! Now go and enjoy it with the others." She took the sponge from your hand and stepped forward to hug you. At this point, you've become more comfortable with adults coming close to you. Well, just Molly. She noticed your change in reaction to her. When she stepped forward and offered to hug you, you didn't flinch, and even hugged her back. She was tearing up, but wouldn't let you see it.
"Thank you, Molly." You teared up as well, but wiped the tear before you separated.
You ran toward the living room and noticed George sitting on the couch, looking a little too comfortable. You ran up and jumped into him.
"OH-" he cried in pain. "What the bloody hell was that about?!" He took his hand and covered the part of his stomach you semi intentionally hit with your hand.
"You looked too comfortable."
"So I can't relax even in my own home?" He wrapped his arms around you and leaned back.
"I am unpredictable." You smiled and lied down on his chest. Once you two opened your eyes you noticed the entire family staring at you. You both had completely forgotten the others were present.
"If you don't wipe that grin off your face, Fred, I'm going to slap it off."
"And she means it." George chimed in.
"I don't doubt it." Fred returned.
"What are you all up to?" You said as you turned your head to look at Hermione. She was sitting on the floor with exploding snap cards laid out.
"Exploding snap?" You looked down at the cards.
"A little bit. Whilst you disappeared-" Ron was interrupted
"Cleaned the kitchen." You interrupted.
"Whatever. We invented exploding wizard chess snap."
"Ronald, you amaze me everyday. Now how do you play?"
————————————-
"I WIN!" Charlie screamed from the chair in the corner.
"How?! I still don't even understand the logic of the game!" Hermione was crumbling under the realization this was a game she couldn't win if she tried.
"It's about instinct." Charlie announced proudly, though he didn't understand what he was even saying.
"I call bull. Has anyone here played Poker before?" You sat up from the couch. Mother had raised you to hate muggles and all such related activities. You were something of a rebel, and as you explored the world on your win you came to the conclusion Muggles aren't so bad. Just pitiable.
"What's that?" Mr. Weasley inquired.
"You of all people should know. It's a muggle game. But it's more...high stakes."
"And you're familiar with the game?! You must explain everything." He was like a kid in a candy store.
"It's a tad complicated, and I don't trust anyone here would be any good at lying."
"Percy is a deceitful cow."
"And what did I do now, Fred? Are your feelings hurt that I didn't participate in this mess you call a game?" Percy put down his book and looked up at Fred, who was leaning against his fathers chair in the ground.
"You're just a lying cow. Always have been, always will be."
"Don't say that Fred! Be nicer to your brother!" Mr. Weasley stared down at Fred.
You turned to George who was sitting next to you on the couch.
"It's like watching three cats fight." You whispers to him.
"And it's free!" You both giggled and fell against each other. The night went by in a warm and fuzzy blur, and before you knew it, it was time for bed.
