Though he was iconic amongst the students of Hogwarts for his looks and charm, Cedric Diggory had always relayed a sense of emptiness to you. As though he was all a facade, an illusion. Wether he was too perfect or too far from realistic expectations, his emptiness was almost alien...possibly vampiric.

"I...don't follow." And apparently he didn't make up for anything in brains.

"Same here. Just go with it." Harry was catching on, which made things mildly easier for you.

"Lucky number three over here, also very confused." You waved your hand sarcastically.

"Normally I'd go off about how I don't owe you an explanation...but under these circumstances I feel it necessary."

You paused for a moment. Maybe for suspense, maybe because you couldn't bring any words to form on your tongue, but most likely, a combination of the two.

"In summary, I've been off lately in a way that has only proven in the past to be caused by Voldemort involved affairs."

Cedric was slightly taken aback at your blatant use of his name, but he kept those thoughts to himself.

"I've known for a short period of time that some blasts from my past-" you shrugged. "My mother, was somehow wrapped up in a soon to occur scandal."

"You're using a lot of words that don't even begin to cover the weight of the scenario here y/n." Harry offered his unwanted opinion.

"It's how I cope, Potter. Move on."

"Again, I've had semi visual confirmation of some shenanigans."

"Semi?" You were beginning to lose Cedric in the hassle of the explanation.

In slight annoyance, but mostly hidden fear, you sucked in a deep breath of air in an attempt to calm yourself. Everything was happening so fast in ways you were never truly prepared for. Nobody was supposed to follow you here. Not her, and hardly ever him.

But, not to your surprise, you remain calm in chaos.

With relaxed eyes and an unclenches jaw, you continued.

"We can't keep standing here like bait, so I'll make this quick."

"Only moments before the trial began, I saw professor Moody exit the maze."

"...and?" Harry once again offered his unwanted opinion.

"And," you spat.

"I'm quite sure at this point that he's not who he says he is."

Silence thickened the air between the three of you.

"There's a lot here that you both don't understand. But a lot that you, Harry, are going to have to." You turned to Harry, who cliched his wand tightly at every move you made. His nerves were making him paranoid.

"Relax. All I'm going to do, is introduce you to the family."
