Chapter 2

Keychain

I woke up because my phone alarm. This is my routine everyday especially going to school. I don't want to be late so I have to set the alarm clock. I looked at my phone at agad akong napabalikwas ng makitang ikalawang alarm na iyon!

Tangina.

Agad akong nagmadaling pumunta sa bathroom para mag toothbrush pagkatapos ay naligo na. Nagbihis agad ako at kinuha ang Gucci sling bag at sinabit yon sa balikat ko.

Nang makababa na ako, I see Mom and Dad eating. Patapos na sila! They have work kaya nagmamadali rin sila. Minsan ay wala na sila, pero ngayon ay naabutan ko sila!

"Darling, you're late na. I wanted to wake you up, but I know you're tired so.." si mommy habang nagpupunas ng labi niya. Patapos na kumain.

Agad akong humalik sa kanila at agad na umupo para kumain. I ate, as fast as I could. Ayaw kong malate pero late na ako! I don't know if we have a quiz today but.. whatever.

"Sana ginising niyo ako, Mom. I'm late na. I need to go na rin." I drink a glass of water, inubos ko yon. Hindi ko alam kong kumain talaga ako o kumain lang ng ilang kutsara.

"What? That so fast, anak."

"It's okey, Mom. I have to go na talaga. Baka may quiz kami." I said. Kinuha ko na lang yong sandwich na binigay ni Mommy sa akin. Si daddy naman ay tumango lang at sinabihan na sasabay na sa kanila but I refused. My driver naman ako.

"It's okey, dad. I have to go na talaga."

Agad akong sumakay sa kotse at sinabihan ko rin si Manong Eric na pakibilisan kasi late na talaga ako. I want to skip my breakfast but I know Mom will get mad.

Buti na lang ay nakahabol ako. Kakapasok ko pa lang sa room at ganoon din ang prof namin. Thanks God.

I sit next to Jezley. I saw Heart grinning at me. Ang aga aga pa para mambwesit siya.

"You're late. May kachat ka kagabi, noh?" Jezley scoffed.

"What? Porket late may kachat agad?" I said and rolled my eyes. Tinuon ko ang pansin sa prof na nagsusulat sa white board.

"Bitch, it's simple, the answer is yes or no. Unless may ka chat ka nga."

"So what if I'm chatting someone? How about you? Naghihintay na ichat ng ex mo?" I said matter of fact.

"Shh, please keep quite! You dumbells." Jezley shut us up.

"Wow, dumbells. Really? How about you eating dumballs?" Heart immediately said. I chuckled.

"Shut up." Jezley rolled her eyes.

Hindi na kami nag usap pa at nakinig na lang sa Prof. The class went smooth. I answered some questions regarding to the topic. And after that will have a short quiz. It's not bad naman since nakaka refreshing pa sa utak. If bukas pa magpa quiz, baka wala na akong utak. I mean, baka wala na akong maalala.

The class ended, at we decided to have lunch in the fast food near in our campus.

Jezley and Heart keeping their things while I'm done. Nagpaalam ako na magwa- washroom lang. Tumango sila at tsaka nagmadali akong lumabas.

I immediately went to the washroom, dahil nagmamadali ako ay hindi ko namalayan na nakabunggo ako ng tao.

"Sorry. Omygad. Tanga kasi," I told him and regretting the last words. Hindi naman siya nagalit o baka hindi niya narinig.

Nagkalat lahat ng paper niya sa floor so I help him to pick some. Magkasabay pa kaming yumuko kaya agad kong naamoy ang mamahaling pabango niya.

I did not talk and continue picking up his papers. Yong iba ay nalukot na, and I feel sorry for that. It's my fault.

Tumayo siya at ganoon din ako. I looked at him. He's not familiar to me. Parang ngayon ko lang siya nakita dito. Pero dahil malaki ang school, siguro ay galing sa ibang department. Engineering I think. I looked at his I.D and I saw his picture. Wala akong pakialam kong saan siya galing na department. Tiningnan ko lang. Tama. Engineering nga. At wala nga akong pake.

I just stared his picture. Bakit ang unfair naman. Diba dapat pangit siya sa i.d? Bakit parang may favoritism?

"I have to go." he suddenly said in a monotone voice. Gusto ko iyon marinig ulit!

"Sure," I said while panicked. I don't know what to do! Nakapag sorry na ako. He's scary.

"Your blocking my way." masungit niyang sagot.

Aba!

Agad ko namang narealize yon kaya dali dali akong tumabi to give him space. Heck.

Tss.

Before I went to the washroom I noticed the small keychain on the floor. I pick up and saw the name.

James Ivan Langford.

Inamoy ko iyon at kasing bago ng lalaki kanina! I return this thing to him. Tiningnan ko ang hallway at wala na siya.

Pumasok ako sa washroom habol ang hininga. I can smell his manly perfume here. I retouch my minimal make up and put some powder and lip tint. I hate using lipstick kasi malagkit sa feeling.

Lumabas ako at nakita ko silang inip na inip sa paghihintay sa akin. Jezley is with her phone again scrolling, while Heart is throwing me a killer looks.

"What took you so long? Nag jakol kaba?" Heart scoffed.

"Gago," I snapped.

"Nag retouch lang." I added. Without mentioning what happened before that. At wala akong plano.

"Really? Or you're seeing someone in the bathroom, huh?" Jezley playfully said. It's not serious though. Green ampota.

"Let's go. I'm hungry." I just said.

Maraming tao kaya ayaw kong makipagrambulan para maka order. Jezley and I find seats to us. Medyo nasa malayong parte kami para walang masyadong tao.

I also made a smile to our blockmates who's here having a lunch too.

Agad na dumating si Heart at nilapag ang in order namin. We took our food and started eating. Hindi pa ako nakakasubo ng may dumating kaya naging maingay sa loob.

They are five guys over there na nagtutulakan kong sino ang oorder. Hindi ko na pinansin at kumain na rin.

"They are from engineering department, right?" Jezley said.

Heart nodded and drink her glass of drink. "They are good looking too. Fit with their course. Ang hot pa. Pasubo naman fafa," she said while looking at the guys.

Landi neto.

"True. Especially with that color brown hair guy." Jezley response habang nakatingin sa lalaki.

I also watch them but I am not really interested about boys kaya hinayaan ko nalang sila. Wait-

My jaw dropped when I realized who is it.

"Kane, are you okey? We know they are attractive but please don't show it. It's obvious." Heart smile at me widely. "Pero pwede ka namang pumili, lahat naman masarap."

I glared at her remarks.

"What's his name?" I asked.

"And now, your interested about the name. Ika-kama mo ba?" Heart chuckled.

"Kane is pretty. She doesn't need to put make up on, to make that guy fall for her." Jezley said. Smiling at me back to that guy.

"I'm just asking about the name." I asked again. I don't have the urge to fight nonsense with them. I just need to clarify if he's the owner of this damn keychain. Bakit niya pa kasi naiwan 'to. Itapon ko pa 'to eh.

"The bitch is mad now." they're laughing now.

"James Ivan Langford. The sexiest ass in the campus." Jezley said.
