the morning that sarah's mother had to leave had finally arrived.

it was 5:30 am, the roads were quite empty and lit up with the streetlights.

sarah and her mother where on the way to her friends house where the girl would be staying till her second year was over.

she would be starting at shiratorizawa in her third year, staying with shirabu and his mother.

the drive to where sarah would be staying was fairly silent, the faint sounds of the car radio just barely playing over the sounds of the road.

her mother pulls up into a driveway with no lights, the house being pretty hard to see but sarah could sort of recognize the house.

maybe she'd walked past it before?

her mother pulls her bags out of the car, handing them to the girl as she slid out.

"im going to miss you," sarah whispers.

her mother quietly laughs.

"you too, sweetie."

they reach the doorstep, sarah doing the honours of knocking on the door.

just as soon as sarah took her fist down the door swung open, startling the girl.

"hi!" a women with too much energy for that early in the morning pulls sarah's mother into a hug.

sarah just stands there awkwardly.

the woman hugging her mom gasps, noticing her standing behind.

"sarah? aw you've grown up so well!" she gushes, pulling sarah into a hug. "i'm aiko! you probably dont remember me since you were just a baby."

sarah struggles to breath in aiko's tight embrace.

aiko steps away, telling the two girls to follow her into the house to see her son.

"just a second, he's probably in his room-, KEIJI!"

sarah freezes, looking over at aiko.

keiji?

she suddenly realizes why the house looked so familiar.

akaashi lives here.

she slaps her face.

'i should have known' she scolds herself for her bad memory.

a tired akaashi made his way out of the room, still in his nightwear.

he reaches the top of the stairs, yawning and rubbing his eyes as he slowly made his way down.

"akaashi, come see the guests!"

oh right,  he thinks to himself. guests.

akaashi stops at the bottom of the stairs, finally looking up and noticing a familiar girl standing in his front hall.

"sarah?" his eyes widen.

"h-hi?" she slightly waves.

then it suddenly dawns on her.

she'd be staying with akaashi for the rest of the school year.
