it was morning, time for sarah's first morning practice back.
she was planning to ask akaashi to walk to school with her, but it would be a challenge since he had been avoiding her ever since she started staying with him and his mom.
"maybe he doesn't like me," sarah mutters to herself as she waits outside of akaashi's room for him to get out.
that wasn't the case though, he actually liked her a lot. but he liked her so much that he was insecure about staying in the same house as her and was afraid he would embarrass himself in some way which would make the girl definitely not return his feelings.
akaashi knew sarah was outside his door, and heard what she said.
"why is she worried about me not liking her"
he scrunched his eyebrows together in thought, trying to decode what she meant.
does she like me?
that thought gave him a surge of confidence, so he pushed his bedroom door open to see sarah against the wall.
"sarah?"
her head snapped up in his direction.
"i- uh... yeah?"
"do you... need... something..?" he peered down at her.
"oh!" she jumps up. "yeah i just wanted to see if you wanted to walk to practice together this morning?"
he hesitates.
"wont they question why were together thought..."
sarah's face falls and she frowns.
"are you embarrassed to be seen with me... or?"
akaashi widens his eyes.
"er.. no no of course not! i-,"
"then it shouldn't be a problem!" sarah beams. "let me know when your ready!"
she runs out of sight leaving akaashi alone.
"better get ready then," he sighs.

akaashi and sarah reach the gym doors, sarah pulling the door open.
a few players were already in there warming up, as well as yukie. no sign of the coach though.
"akaashi!" bokuto yells from the court. he notices sarah there as well and cocks an eyebrow. "sarah-chan?"
"hi!" she waves cheerfully.
bokuto makes his way over to the two.
"you two came in together," he points, and akaashi struggles to keep his composure. "...why?"
"sarah has to stay at my house for a couple months," akaashi simply replies, walking off to the change rooms.
"my mom's away," sarah adds.
a stray volleyball rolls over to her and she picks it up.
at hearing their explanation, bokuto wiggles his eyebrows at sarah.
annoyed, she whips the ball at him causing him to whine.
"wait bokuto while were waiting for everyone to come out can we pass?" sarah asks.
bokuto gapes at the girl.
"you want to pass?"
"yes!! my cousin taught me!"
"sure then!" he smirks.
they both start peacefully bumping the ball back and forth.
then sarah sends the ball to bokuto high enough that he could spike it down at her but she didnt notice that he could until he jumps up.
"BOKUTO DONT YOU DARE!"
"KYAAAAA!"
and he spikes the pall down at the girl causing her to squeal and dive out of the way.
"BOKUTO HOW DARE YOU!" sarah gets up and begins to run towards to boy.
"HAHAHHA!" and the ace starts sprinting away from her as she begins throwing balls at him.
coach walks in to see the boys standing to the side watching sarah chase bokuto.
"whats happening?" he asks confused.
"oh they were just passing back and forth and then bokuto slammed a ball at her out of normal and she got mad," yukie explains.
"what should we do?" komi questions.
"we should just put the curtain down and play on the other side that they aren't on till they calm down." their coach chuckles, grabbing the ball cart. "we wouldn't be able to stop them in any way."
excuse any sort of errors lololol. might edit later
