Chapter 10

Time flies by, and Sarah has now been at Fukurodani for two months now. She's gotten closer with Bokuto and Akaashi but more so with the latter.

The setter and the girl walk to and from school everyday and spend a lot of time together, making them grow closer fast.

Akaashi's already come to realize his feeling for the girl, and most of the team has found out from either how obvious his feelings are or from Bokuto accidentally bringing it up in conversations. But Sarah is still totally and utterly oblivious for his feelings for her, and hasn't fully realized hers for him yet.

Although sometimes she gets fluttery on the inside, she just shrugs it off and tries to make herself believe all the feelings she feels for him is platonic, which she actually does end up believing.

Then one day during class, there's a new transfer student.

"Hello class, we have a new student joining us today."

A boy with messy, brown hair and about 5 ft 10 walks into the room.

"hello, uh, I'm Ben Tennyson," the boy says in english. "I- uh-." sensei walks up to him and whispers something in his ear. "Oh- Oh! I'm sorry ahh!"

The boy bows and says, "please take care of me!"

Sarah struggles to keep her laugh in and eventually swallows it back.

Akaashi then glances over at his crush and smiles at her reaction.

"There's an open seat next to Tenshi-san over there," sensei directs the new kid to the open seat next to the girl and he walks over to her and sits down.

"Hey, i'm Sarah Tenshi!" Sarah greets the boy.

"I'm Ben," he tells her. "I just moved here from America."

"That's cool! I moved to Tokyo a couple months ago, so i'm technically still a new kid to," Sarah tells him and smiles.

He nods.

"I know how hard it is to adjust to a new country, since I was born originally in New Zealand, so I can help you out if you need anything! Oh, and you can just call me by my first name, Sarah."

"Okay that sounds great, thanks Sarah!" Ben closes his eyes and smiles, sticking out his left hand in a thumbs up. She laughs and then notices a green, watch like thing on his arm.

"Hey, I like your watch!" she gushes. "Greens my favorite colour!"

He quickly hides his left arm behind his back.

Why does he look startled? Sarah asks herself.

"O-oh! T-thanks." he stutters. Then he notices the look of suspicion on her face and blurts out the first thing that comes to his mind. "Mine's red!" (which isn't true at all)

Forgetting how suspicious he was being, Sarah then starts listing her favorite red things with Ben just nodding along.

Phew, thank goodness that made her change the subject, just like I thought. Ben thinks to himself.

The class then begins, making Sarah stop talking.

Class ends and Sarah turns to Ben, and asks him if he wants to sit with her during lunch.

"Sure!" he smiles and grabs his bag.

The two head down the hallway, Sarah totally forgetting about Akaashi.

The setter speeds to catch up with the two and starts walking on Sarah's right.

Ben notices the boy and stops to turn to him.

"Hey there, pretty boy. I'm Ben!" he reaches his hand over to shake it. Akaashi hesitatingly shakes his hand, confused.

"Hello, uh, Ben? I'm Keiji Akaashi." he bows his head.

"I'm still new with this stuff, so i'm just gonna call you pretty boy, kay?"

"Erm-"

Sarah hides her giggles with her hand and starts walking towards the cafeteria again.

The two boys follow behind, Akaashi glaring at Ben out of jealousy.

Ben notices and side eyes him out of curiosity.

"Whats your deal?" he folds his arms behind his head and closes his eyes. "do you like hate me or something, pretty b-,"

"Don't call me that," he snaps and glances at Sarah, who had just ran ahead to talk to a girl from her japanese class.

The brunette started laughing hysterically and acting really crazy, causing Akaashi to softly chuckle under his breath.

Ben hears and opens his eyes to scope out the cause of the normally stoic boy's amusement and notices Sarah being Sarah.

"ooOoh, pretty b- oh, uhh- Akaashi? (Akaashi nods) Are you by any chance jealous of how nice Sarah's being to me?" he teases.

The setter's mouth drops slightly open and his eyebrows shoot up, but then he quickly composes himself and shakes his head.

"No, why would you think that."

Ben lazily smirks.

"Oh never mind. I know you know I know you know what i mean," he laughs. "see ya later pretty boy~"

The brunette then speeds off to sit at the table Sarah's saving, leaving Akaashi behind.

Akaashi sighs and walks over to sit with them.

A/N~ sorry for not updating in a while. I just havent been feeling motivated to continue lately. most of the next chapters will just be fillers and stuff like that and then it'll get into what i have planned for finishing this.

also this fic has recently hit 1k views so thanks guys, i didnt think and i still dont know why anyone would read my fanfics.
