Chapter 26

sarah walks into the school the next day, greeted by myou who had just walked in as well.

"hey sarah!" myou smiled at the girl.

"hi myou! how are you?" sarah smiled back.

the two began walking the homeroom together.

"i'm pretty good, how are you?"

"ugh im okay, just wish i could've slept in," sarah groaned, getting a laugh out of myou.

they enter the classroom side by side, catching akaashi's attention.

'i guess they're friends now'

they sat in their regular seats and class began.

during lunch, the five sat at a larger table with more seats in order for them all to sit there.

bokuto and suki were trying to feed each other as sarah just watched and sipped her ice coffee.

"hey akaashi, want to get boba with me later?" she could hear myou ask beside her.

"sure," he responded.

"great!" she beamed.

feeling weird, sarah decided to butt in.

"can i come too?" she asked. "suki and bokuto as well."

"sure!" myou grinned, looking very forced.

sarah smiled and so did suki and bokuto, excited for their first date even though it would be with others.

"what time should we meet?" myou asked akaashi.

"im free at 4?" sarah butted in again. 'what is going on with me today'

"so am i!" suki perked up.

"me too!" bokuto agreed.

"same," akaashi nodded.

"4 it is then!" myou gritted her teeth.

she was planning on the boba trip to get to know akaashi, maybe she should've just asked him alone. but just because others were there didn't mean she couldn't still, right?

as myou, suki, and bokuto exchanged their numbers, sarah was zoning out at the wall.

akaashi watched her curiously.

sarah didn't like boba.

the five met in front of a boba shop in the busy streets of tokyo.

they entered the shop, bokuto and suki hand in hand as the three others trailed behind.

sarah stared at the menu, unsure of what to get but looked for one that shed enjoy more.

sarah had never really liked boba, but something inside of her made her ask akaashi and myou if she could go along with them.

maybe her taste buds had a change of heart and wanted to have it again?

it was her turn to order, so she ordered the smallest size she could in the same flavour as akaashi thinking 'if akaashi likes it, why shouldn't i?".

the group collects their drinks and head to the tables along the front of the cafe.

sarah slides into a two-seated table next to the four-seated table, where the couple and myou sat.

akaashi slid in across from her, earning secret glances from myou who wanted him to sit next to her.

akaashi leaned in as sarah's stare was on her drink.

"i thought you didnt like boba," he whispered.

sarah shrugged.

"i think i forgot that i didnt..."

akaashi chuckled at her answer and took a sip of his drink.

"have you given it a try yet?" he asked.

sarah shook her head.

"not yet... im a little scared."

"if you dont like it, no one is forcing you to drink it. you could say you were trying out a new flavour?"

sarah smiles at his attempt to fix the situation.

"thank you akaashi."

he smiles in response and looks over at the already bickering couple next to him.

sarah looks back down at her boba. taking a deep breath, she took a sip.

she let it sit on her tongue, testing out the flavour on her taste buds.

she swallowed, shuddering.

yeah she still didn't like it.

akaashi took notice of her dislike and stood up, saying he had to go to the bathroom.

sarah was zoning out again, staring at her drink as bokuto, suki, and myou fooled around drinking their boba.

akaashi came back to the tables, holding a strawberry milk.

he slid the milk over to sarah.

"i can drink the boba if you want," he whispered to her, quiet enough that the others didnt hear.

she smiles and nods, sliding the drink over to him.

"thankyou."

"no worries."

myou watched as the two secretly smiled to themselves, the jealousy bubbling inside of her.
