akaashi bursts into his house, seeing sarah's coat hung on the wall.

he let out a breath of air, relieved that he didn't have to go out searching for her.

the boy wasn't sure what he was doing, but he felt like he had to run after the girl.

he silently creeped up the stairs and found himself standing in front of the closed door of guest bedroom, where sarah slept.

he hesitantly knocked and waited for a response, then hearing a small "come in".

the door creaked open and akaashi saw sarah lying on her bed, facing away from the door.

"sarah?" he lightly whispered. he stood there in the doorway as she didn't respond.

he was close to walking away when her tiny voice stopped him.

"what happened?" she squeaked.

akaashi walked in and sat on the corner of her bed.

sarah stayed facing the wall, making no move to look at him.

"myou texted me to meet her near the school and she confessed. then... kissed me."

the girl frowned to herself. she had thought myou was her friend. why didn't she tell her that she liked akaashi as well?

"did you kiss her back?"

akaashi stayed silent. the question angered him for some reason.

yes, he had kissed her back. his body had taken over for a few seconds and he couldn't control himself, kissing her back.

but he liked sarah, not myou.

"why would you care if i kissed her. i can do whatever i want, it's not like me and you are dating anyway." he all of the sudden snapped snapped at sarah who inhaled sharply, his words hitting her hard.

she sat up, desperate to get away from the boy, and started out the room.

but his hand latched onto her wrist, stopping her.

"wait!..." he half-yelled.

sarah attempts to break out of his grasp but akaashi tightens his grip on her, causing her to whimper.

he panics, dropping her hand quickly.

"s-sorry-,"

sarah spins on her heels in akaashi's direction.

"what do you want," she says through gritted teeth.

"i- i-," he stutters, unsure about what to say. the girl rolled her eyes at him, clearly fed up.

"you what?" sarah crossed her arms.

"i don't like myou... i like you. i... i love you."

her arms drop in surprise, not expecting him to say that.

"what?"

akaashi nods.

sarah then shakes her head.

"no, no. your playing with me. leave me alone," she spat out and ran down the stairs towards the front door.

sarah bursts out if the house in tears and left akaashi standing alone inside, him respecting her wish to be left alone.

she wiped the wetness off her face and reached for her phone, planning on texting suki if she could sleep over.

five missed calls caught her eye, all from akaashi's mother.

concerned, sarah quickly dialled her number.

"aiko?" she asked as the woman answered her call.

"sarah, theres an uber on it's way to pick you up and take you to the airport. they have your ticket."

"sorry?" sarah furrowed her eyebrows. "wait, what's wrong?"

"there's been an emergency. it's your mom."
