akaashi and sarah's shift had ended, and they headed to bokuto's class's cross dressing cafe to meet him and suki.akaashi and sarah had scared quite a few people which was surprising since they weren't supposes to be the scary part. they had left, handing the things to myou and her partner who were on the next shift.
the two walked the halls of the 3rd year classrooms, getting stares from students because of the makeup that was still on their faces.
they were dressed in all black to blend with the darkness of the gym, not in their uniforms for once.
sarah spotted bokuto's classroom and pulled akaashi in where they were greeted at the door by bokuto in a maid costume.
akaashi let out a short laugh, sarah giggling at the sight.
"welcome!" he loudly greeted, causing everyone around them to flinch.
"kou be quieter," suki scolded from in the classroom. she noticed the two standing at the door and her persona switched, going from stern and annoyed to happy and gleeful.
"hi guys, come in!" she waved them over.
"don't you have your class to be in?" bokuto asked with a sour expression, annoyed with his girlfriend.
"no, i'm on break," she rolled her eyes at him. he scoffed.
sarah walked into the brightly decorated room, followed by akaashi.
"wow this is pretty!" she exclaimed.
"thanks," konoha winked at the girl from his podium like thing they have in restaurants if you get what im talking about.
"wait konoha, your in this class too?" sarah raised and eyebrow.
"nah," he leaned lazily against the surface. "i just liked the idea of a cross dressing cafe than what my class was doing and i somehow convinced them to let me switch classes."
sarah nodded in realization.
"well let me show you three to your seats," he said, referring to sarah, akaashi, and suki who had appeared beside them.
the three sat down at a table with a cute little flower in the middle, sarah tickling a petal as she sat down.
"so," konaha pulled out his pad of paper. "what would you like?"
sarah glanced down at the menu.
"konoha, theres only one item," suki giggled.
he sighed.
"no, theres two."
sarah showed the menu to him, with the only item on the menu being hot cocoa.
konoha rolls his eyes.
"theres water as well."
"you should put that on your menu's then," suki suggested.
"whatever. anyway what would you like."
the three each ordered a hot cocoa which was brought to their table within seconds.
"that was fast," sarah commented as she took a sip.
konoha leaned against the extra chair at their table.
"yeah, we fortunately had some ready."
they finished up their drinks and it was time for them to leave since suki had her shift and sarah and akaashi had planned to meet myou in front of komi's classroom where they had a mini art show going on.
———
the fire cracked loudly from the centre of the circle, the orange flames lighting up the faces of the students.
the culture festival had come to an end and all students were huddled around the big fire.
sarah sat beside suki and myou, along with a bunch of other girls.
akaashi and bokuto were seated with a bunch of the volleyball team, across the fire from the girls.
sarah, suki, and myou were tucked into one big fuzzy blanket, munching on the s'mores they had made.
"mmm this is so good," sarah complimented, suki and myou humming in agreement.
they finished of their snack and got up, since suki wanted to get a drink of water.
"i have to go to the washroom, i'll be back," myou told the girls as she got up and hurried towards the building.
sarah let out a shaky breath, waiting for the moment to come.
it was nearing the time where sarah wanted to confess the akaashi and she was growing more jittery by the moment.
she watched akaashi pull out his phone and stand up, walking away from the fire.
"suki i think this is my chance," sarah stood up, gaining the girls attention.
"go for it!! goodluck!!" she called out to the girl as she hurried after akaashi.
sarah walked along the building, slowly approaching where akaashi had disappeared to.
this was her chance to confess, she just had to wait for the right time.
sarah heard hushed talking from around the corner so she paused and leaned against the brick wall of the school.
she heard a girl's giggle, awfully resembling myou's, causing her to arch an eyebrow.
she peeked her head around the wall, seeing myou and akaashi standing together and talking.
she was confused and couldn't make out what they were saying, causing her to sigh in frustration.
but she began to wonder what the two were doing. were they secretly dating? or were they planning on something?
she stepped out, planning to just ask them herself but suddenly something made her eyes widen.
myou had stood on her toes and attached her lips onto akaashi's.
an overwhelming emotion swirled in sarah's chest as she watched the two who had their lips locked.
wiping away a quickly fallen tear, she turned and ran as fast as she could from the two, thinking she wasn't seen but akaashi noticed her.
he had managed to push myou off of him to see a figure running away from the two.
he realized sarah had seen the whole thing and began to sprint after her.
"sarah wait!" he yelled but the girl had managed to get away from him, leaving him standing alone in front of the school.
cursing, he pulled out his phone and called an uber to come pick him up.
oh damn
