I opened my eyes as soon as I heard my alarm clock ring. It was a new day.

"Jennie wake up and have your breakfast. You still have packing to do."

... In fact, a new beginning. It was the day of my departure to Connecticut.

"Yeah mom, I'm coming." I fixed myself as fast as I could and headed to the kitchen. On my way, I observed that mom already laid white sheets over the furniture and all of our pictures in the living room were already kept.

"Come on Jennie, have some pancakes." I saw my mom smile at me as she offered me 2 layers of pancake. Then, the doorbell rang. "I'll get it." I quietly ate the pancakes as mom talked to the person waiting outside. "Oh okay. Thanks mister. Your tip." I heard mom before she went back to the kitchen counter.

"Who's that?"

"The telephone company guy. I asked him to remove our phone line because no one will be left here anymore. It's definitely useless."

I just nodded and continued what I was doing.

Hours passed until I realized it was nearly time for us to leave for the train station. I looked at my room for the last time and I saw Jisoo's picture in one of my picture frames.

I smiled faintly as tears fell from my eyes. "This sucks." It hurts to leave someone whom you really love.

"Jennie! The cab's here! Mino is going up to your room." Mom shouted from outside. I wiped my tears.

Just when I turned I saw Mino and he hugged me. "I'm going to miss you. I don't know if I'll remember your pretty face when you're miles away."

I moved away from the hug and punched him, "Silly. I will visit you sometimes... or maybe you can visit me-so you won't forget my oh-so pretty face." I gave him my bag. "You know you're always welcome in our house."

"Welcome huh?" I nodded as we made our ways downstairs. Every step was so painful for me. It was like leaving everything behind and going to an unknown world.

"Are you not going to call him?"

"Who?"

"Your football player eh?" My heart sank.

"No..." I closed my eyes for a second. "He has a football game today and it's better like this. If he discovers it now, I probably won't have the guts to leave." I looked at him. "You won't tell him, will you?"

"Yes."

I stopped him. "Yes you won't or yes you will?"

"I said yes." He placed my bag in the trunk and shut it.

"Mino I will miss you." My mom hugged him. They really had the chance to bond and talk about things when I was gone with Jisoo. They were like, mother and son.

"I will miss you too auntie. I will visit you guys there don't worry." As words of goodbye fill my ears, hurt and regret weight my heart. I was going to leave my town-my home, my love without any word?

"Crappy things really do happen." I whispered as I wiped a tear from my eye then I went in the cab.

"Are you gonna ride or what?" The cab driver shouted to mom. Mom immediately rode and off we went.

Ten minutes passed since we rode in the train. Our trip would be a three hour trip and we were not yet even half of that.

"Good morning everyone, may I have your attention?" The intercom-whoever said. "We are going to have a short stop over in the next station. There are a few matters that need to be fixed as soon as possible. We won't be long and we are hoping for your kind consideration. Thank you and good day." Several complaints were heard from the passengers.

"Mom you know I'm not really sure if leaving is right for me." I said honestly remembering the days when I was in my room thinking of-well Jisoo... "I love Jisoo and it sucks leaving him behind."

"You don't mean that, right?" She almost demanded.

"I mean it mom."

"No. Your feelings for him must now be nonexistent." I felt pity for myself. She brushed her hair with her fingers in one motion. "Jennie, that house, village... that state is now our past. Connecticut is our future."

"Mom, we are in the present."

Her face was full of rage. "You will stay with me. Forget him. He is just a fling. Trust me." I cried.

"Mom you don't know what you are saying."

"Your dad did that to us. Get back to those guys. He doesn't love you. If he does, he should be here with you or he could have followed you the least!"

I left her instantly and went to the CR. All the while I thought she really did change but she didn't. She was being nice to me so that I could do what she wanted me to do.

All of a sudden, my phone rang. "Hello?"

"Jennie, Jisoo is-" It was Mino.

"What?"

"Jisoo. He-"

The door swung open. "Leave Jisoo." I felt scared. My mom pulled the phone and flushed it in the toilet. "You have no right to leave me." She dragged me but I pulled away.

"Mom I have the right. Everyone has the right to leave a person like you. I don't know why you are acting like this! You need to do some checking mom. I thought you already changed but it wasn't reality. I don't know how I am going to deal with you. But now, I know that all I need to do is leave this stupid train and go after my love." I walked pass her and got my luggage.

Once I arrived to the next station, I immediately went to the phone booth and called Mino.

"Hi, this is Mino. I am probably out grabbing some food or in the football field kicking some balls. Sheesh that sounded crazy. OH! I'm sorry. Anyway, just leave a message after the beep. BEEEP."

"Mino I hate you. What happened to Jisoo? Call... no. You can't call me since mom flushed my phone into the toilet. I'm in the next station after our town. I don't heck know where this is. I'll call you back."

Just before I hung up, I heard his voice. A shock of hope passed throughout my body. "Hey Jennie! Jisoo he is--"

"What happened to Jisoo?" I felt tears run down my face as I remembered leaving Jisoo the day before clueless that I'd go away.

"He's no where to be found. I don't know where he is." I moved my head around and saw a TV. It was the football game Jisoo played.

"But he's playing a game!" I almost shouted between sobs.

"That is probably recorded. They won and he should be in the victory party right now but no one can find him." I didn't know what to say. "I'll pick you there and just chill okay?" He hung up.

I stared at the TV as the camera focuses Jisoo's face on the screen and I found myself in sobs again.
