“Hi Jendeukie.” Mino approached me and kissed me on my forehead. “Done with classes?” It was nearly 6:30 PM.
I collected my things and stood. “Yep. Let’s go.” We walked side by side, holding each other’s hand. It had been two weeks since we got together officially. We already told our parents about our relationship. Mom didn’t really care at all.
“Oh, I thought you were not done with Kai yet.” She said. Good thing Mino didn’t mind her. On the contrary, Mino’s mom was so happy to know that finally the two of us decided to be together. She was so excited that she even called Mino's dad overseas just to inform him.
“Hi Jennie!” I smiled to Lisa, Jisoo’s football-mate who was probably on his way to the field. “Blooming eh?” He looked at Mino and used his index finger to point the two of us. “Nice catch Mino.” Lisa, being a football player too, knew Mino well.
“I gotta go. Wait, did you see Jisoo?”
“Uh, no.” From the time our tutorial sessions ended one week before, I hadn’t seen Jisoo too much. Most of the time, he was out in the field kicking a football or in the library reading some book. We barely talked to catch up with the latest news. He even changed his class sched so we didn’t share any same class anymore. He told me that he needed extra time for football.
Then, I saw Mino in front of me shaking my shoulders. I looked around. “Where’s Lisa?”
“He already ran to the field about two minutes ago.” Wow, I didn’t know my mind fled to dreamland again. “Are you really fine Jendeukie? You make me feel worried.” I smiled. Butterflies in my stomach form when he said those words. Hearing those words from the true Mr. FP made me shiver and feel goosebumps.
I removed his hands from my shoulders. “Yep Mr. Football Player, I’m fine. Thanks.” I smiled weakly. Crap. I couldn’t believe that I was with my boyfriend yet my mind was flying and thinking about another guy.
He tangled his hand with mine and continued walking. We were in a deep silence when I heard him speak, “We have a date tonight. Actually more of a night-out.”
“Hey Nayeonie!” I looked and saw Nayeon wearing a red shirt with a football print on it walking towards us. Mino and she became friends when Nayeon transferred to Mino’s school.
“Hey lovebirds.” Mino chuckled. Nayeon saw that we were holding hands. “Awww, how sweet. I hate this I’m out of place.”
She turned around and grabbed the hand of a guy who was looking at some gadgets displayed. “C’mon here.”
It was Jisoo. “Oh.” I didn’t know what made me say that. He wore a green shirt with the print, “I’m no one.” I also noticed that he had a haircut. I looked down and stopped staring, damn.
“Jisoo, no hard feelings?” Mino asked. He meant the football thingy, knowing that they were members of opponent teams.
“Yea. It’s just sports.”
“Is this the date you’re talking about?” I whispered to Mino.
“Look at them, they look perfect.” Nayeon said as he pulled Jisoo’s arm closer to her. Jisoo didn’t say anything.
“Yea Jendeukie.” Jisoo looked up.
“You called her what?” Nayeon asked, amused.
“Jennie.” I looked at Mino. “Sometimes he calls me Jennie, Jendeukie, honey, sweetie, dear. Oh I have a list.” I told them.
Nayeon tugged Jisoo’s arm. “I think we need to have a list too. Like, honeybunch, baby—”
“One word I like, cupcake.” Jisoo smiled while Nayeon looked very excited.
“You’re together?”
Nayeon smiled like there was no tomorrow. “Uh… soon? C’mon, let’s just go.”
“Resto-bar?” Mino suggested. “Who doesn’t drink?” No one answered. “Game, let’s go.”

I gulped another round of my drink and looked at my mates. “Can’t drink anymore?” I was the only one left drinking. But I wasn’t drunk, only a little.“I’m too full and I think I’m gonna need the—” She ran to the CR.
I grabbed the bottle but Mino got it from me. “Stop it babe. You’re drunk.”
I eyed him. “I’m not.” It was the truth. He gulped the last batch of beer.
He wiped his mouth. “No more.” I pouted.
“I’ll go and check Nayeon.” Jisoo stood.
“No, I’ll go. Stay with Jennie. Besides I need to check the bill.” Mino went away and the two of us were left staring at the people dancing.
“I need to bring Nayeon home.” Jisoo and I looked up to see Mino panting. “Her mom called her and asked me to bring her home.”
“Why not Jisoo?”
“I already told her but she told me that I am the one responsible.” I sighed. “Don’t worry Jennie. You’re safe with Jisoo. Text me okay? I’ll call you later.” He leaned and kissed me lightly. “That's okay with you?” I nodded. “Sorry bro’.” Jisoo nodded and then Mino was gone.
“Dance with me.” Jisoo was in front of me offering his hand. “Please?” I nodded and we went to the dance floor.
The song was slow and we danced with it. I put my head on his chest. “This feels right you know?” I looked up at him. “I don’t know, maybe I just missed you.”
I smiled and put my head back. I missed him too. “Were you avoiding me?”
“No. I just kept myself busy so I won’t see—YES. I avoided you.” I didn’t ask more for I knew that Mino was the reason. People would think differently if Jisoo and I would hang out.
After the song we decided to go home. We were silent in the ride home and he walked me to our porch.
“Goodnight.” I smiled and he nodded.
“Take care okay?” He began. “…and call Mino.”
“Yes dad.”
“Ha.Ha.Ha.”
“I’m kidding.” A cold wind blew and I shivered. “Take care too Jisoo.” Somehow, our lines resembled something in the past, but I really couldn’t remember.
“Yes cupcake.” He winked.
