“JISOO, JISOO, JISOO!!!” The whole crowd cheered. He played in the football tournament before? He had fans before? My gosh. He hid everything from me? As in everything?

I was left there, speechless.

“He’s best you know. He stopped playing football for five years.”  Nayeon said. I just stared at her. “You okay? You’re kinda pale.”

I lied. “Yea, I’m all right.”  I stared at Jisoo from a far. I couldn’t believe it; he hid the football thingy from me all those times that we talked about football? Gaa, I hate him.

Mino played for Winner Ravens while Jisoo played for Blackpink Stealers.  These players were known to be the opposing teams ever since.

Then, the game started.

Blackpink Stealers got the offense quickly when the game began. The crowd yelled as Jisoo started with a kickoff towards the defense’s goal line. He then grabbed the football and ran towards the second down. But before he could go on to the third down, a Winner Raven player hit him. He fell down, holding the ball on his stomach.

“OOOWWWW…” The crowd shouted.

The TR player took the ball from Jisoo and passed it to another player.  The player ran towards BS's goal line. Pass playing. Mino signaled the player to pass it to him. He caught it and ran the second down. Third down. Fourth down.

“FIRST TOUCHDOWN! MINO LEADS THE GAME!!! 6-0, WINNER RAVENS LEADING.”

I heard Nayeon murmur something but didn’t mind her. The second quarter was eventful because the BS’s score beat WR's after the…

“TOUCHDOWN FROM KIM JISOO 18-16, BLACKPINK STEALERS LEADING.”

The crowd howled. The third quarter was rather boring because of the pass playing. The players just passed the ball to their teammates. Just before the fourth and last quarter starts, I heard people give their bets as to who’d win the game.

“A thousand bucks. Winner Ravens will win.”

“Call, I’ll go for Blackpink Stealers.”

I smiled. “Who do you think will win?”

“Naa… I don’t have an idea. The score is 35-33. Winner Ravens is leading with only two points.”  I reasoned.

“I’ll go for Blackpink Stealers.”

She was right. Blackpink Stealers stole the leading score from Winner Ravens after a player kicked the football to the field goal, it was worth three points. The player?

Yea right. “Kim Jisoo led all the way!!! 43-42!”

*EEEEEENNNNNNNKKKKKKKK* (time’s up)

The noise was deafening. People shouted and the kids raised their flags that carried BlackpinkStealers’ logo. I heard the two men who had a bet earlier.

“I told ya man! I won!!! One thousand bucks!!! Gimme man!”

It was funny. I shifted my gaze to the field. The Blackpink Stealers’ players jumped in joy, they won. After the dome was cleared, Nayeon pulled me to the Blackpink Stealers’ locker room.

“We cannot go in there…”  I told her. “We’re not players you know and we’re definitely not newscasters.”

She showed me her gate pass. “I got it from Jisoo. C’mon I’ll introduce you to him.”  Introduce me? I KNOW HIM, da heck.

Before we could enter the locker room, we saw Jisoo. OH WELL. “Jisoo!”

As he looked back, Nayeon ran, embraced him and gave him a short kiss. My eyes widened and my stomach lurched. When Nayeon pulled away she said, “Nice game huh.”

Jisoo’s eyes widened. “Wha—What are you doing here?”  He looked at me bewildered. “Jennie?”

I forced a smile. “Hi. Nayeonie, I gotta go. I need to talk to someone.”  I wanted to get out of the scene.

“No wait Jennie, I need to talk---l”

“You know each other?” Nayeon asked.

“Yeah.”  We both said. “I gotta go. Mino is waiting for me.”  I lied.

I walked away immediately. All of a sudden, a guy approached me and gave me a football. “I’m sorry, I don’t talk to strangers.”

He handed me a note with a name printed on it. “Mr. Football Player”

“That guy asked me to give it to you.” I nodded and got football from him. Is he here?

I opened the note.

“As you entered the dome.
I felt the whole world falter
My eyes couldn’t roam
They were on you and no other.
You served as my inspiration
I got a score, there’s no wonder

I did my best Jendeukie, I hope you noticed me. My game was for you, but we lost. Sorry.”

Your friend even before, Mr. Football Player.

He played and they lost? He was my friend even before? Gaa. I never thought that his mysteriousness would be that puzzling.

When I raised my head, I saw a figure leaning on the wall staring at me. OH crap, he was Hott—with a capital H.

“M—Mino?”

A crazy thought entered my mind. Mino loves football, has long lashes and pointed nose. He had been my friend since we used diapers. They even lost the game. Mr. Football and he shared same characteristics.  “Could he be Mr. Football Player?”  My heart beat rushed.

“What if--”

“Yea.”  He neared me and I closed the note quickly. I wanted to ask if he was Mr. Football Player. “Who’s that from?”  I felt anxious, all of a sudden.

“This is no—nothing.”  Why was I stuttering eh? “Nice game ah.”

“But we lost; I never thought Jisoo was that Kim Jisoo. He changed a lot, I mean a lot. It was embarrassing, you were there and you saw me lose the game.”  OH crap. Was he really Mr. Football player?

I blushed at the thought. “You played well.”

He smiled. “So, why are you here? Looking for someone?”

I remembered. I came there to talk to him, to ask him if the email wasn’t wrong sent. “I wanna talk to you.”

“Let’s go out.”  He simply said. “A date.”

“A date?”  I felt butterflies in my stomach. Mr. Football Player and his similarities never left my mind. Are they the same?

“Yea, a date.”

“Jennie, finally I found you! Oh gosh, Mino you are so hott.”  I saw Nayeonie come with Jisoo on her side. “You know each other too? My gosh, Jennie you are so lucky.”  I smiled.

Jisoo eyed the close space between me and Mino. Jennie, I need to talk to you.”

“But we’re going out.” Mino declared.

“Out?”  Jisoo asked. “Jennie you’re going out?”  Jisoo and Mino looked at me, waiting for a reply.

Okaaay. Stuck.

I flashed a smile. “Yeah, we’re going out.” I looked at Mino. “We’re on a date.”  I honestly said.

“What the heck, A DATE!?!”
