“Duhhh…” I glared at him. “You know Jisoo, I’m late. I have no time for this.” I walked away.
“Auhhh… My stomach hurts.”
I was kind then so I turned to look at him. “Jennie my stomach hurts like hell. Can you escort me to the clinic..?” He put his arms around his stomach.
“No. I have Calculus with Mr. Gee.”
He continued to shout and students looked at us. Argh. I caught attention again.
“Can you please shut up Jisoo? We’re getting attention.”
“I can but I won’t.” He shouted more.
I moved closer. “Okay okay look. Let’s go.” I pulled him.
Then an evil smile played on his lips. “I was just kidding.” Then he laughed hard.
I hit him on his upper arm. “I hate you. You dragged me for 5 minutes and you shouted there for 3 minutes. I’m late for eight freakin’ minutes.” The students started to go back to their classes.
He clapped his hands. “Oh, you know how to add?”
“Shut up Jisoo. I’m going.”
“No you’re not.”
“Excuse me, you’re stopping me? Oh I’m threatened.” I put my hand on my mouth and made fun of him.
“You need to go to the guidance!” He pulled me.
“Just leave me alone Jisoo. I need to attend my class!” I pulled my hand from his grip but he didn’t let go. I stopped pulling my hand and faced him. He slipped towards me and we fell.
We fell. Jisoo above me.
“You’re heavy.” I struggled to get away.
I glanced at Jisoo who was staring right at me. I felt different under his stare, but his expression was blank—no expression at all.
Then, he moved closer and we were like, 3 inches apart.
I panicked. He was Jisoo and I was so not supposed to be in this position—like we were just about to do something bad in front of the guidance office…
Oh crap, forget about it.
*FLASH*
“Sh—what was that?!” I saw a running student holding a camera. Uh-oh. “Get off you Jisoo. Get off!” I pushed him and he stumbled backwards. I felt all the blood rush to my face. Oh gosh, did I blush?
“You’re so stupid.”
“Look who’s talking…” He looked sideways.
“Look what we have here…” I looked to see Mr. Gee walking towards us. “Lovers in front of the guidance office.” I sat up and removed my arm from Jisoo’s grip.
Was he here when the incident, I mean the when the accident happened? “Sir I’m sorry but you don’t know what really happened.”
“Oh really?” I looked at Jisoo who was so tomato-red. “I just saw that you two were about to kiss in front of the guidance office. How was that?”
“NO!” Jisoo and I said at the same time.
“No need for explanation guys. Get up and let’s go inside the office.”
We spent hours explaining to the guidance counselor that we were not kissing. Yuck. The thought of it removes the hell outta me.
“As if I want to kiss him… that’s ew.”
“As if I want to kiss you too! Feeler.” He retorted
“Wait, look. You moved closer and I didn’t, remember?”
“It was gravity. Gravity. Man, don’t you know anything about science?” I just glared at him.
The guidance counselor spoke, “So Jisoo did you plan to kiss Jennie?”
“NO!” We said in unison
“It was gravity!” He said. “You know, I couldn’t hold my body up anymore so the tendency was to let it fall. Apparently, she was there and at the same time, Mr. Gee saw us and thought we were about to kiss. But we weren’t kissing!”
“I’m definitely not convinced. No evidences were presented. I trust Mr. Gee way more than the two of you.”
“Yeah whatever…” I mumbled under my breath.
“The next time we catch you two doing something… bad; we’ll need to call your parents’ attention.” She looked at me. “, have you read the letter we sent?”
Huh? Letter?
“The one I handed to you the last time we met…”
“Oh.. I remember. No. I haven’t opened it yet.”
“It’s about tutorial. You need a tutor and we have decided to pick someone from the dean’s list to teach you. You need to pick a paper from this bowl and the name written will be your tutor.” She handed me a bowl.
I hated that moment. Tutors are terrors.
You’ll just see her looking down on you evilly and she’ll give you tons and tons of exercises until you literally memorize everything written on the book and later on, you forget your own name.
“C’mon Jennie pick a paper.”
I picked a paper and opened it. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” Jisoo pulled the paper from my hand.
“YEAH. YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING HER.” He almost shouted
She got the paper. “Your teacher will be Jisoo.” She smiled. “It seems that fate brings the two of you together.”
“Forget about it. I’m gonna drop out of this school…” I walked out.
