I walked slowly towards school not minding the wind stirring my hair. I was still busy thinking of what You-Know-Who told me. I sighed. I realized that after all, I was a girl affected by the words of an unknown admirer.
I smiled and hugged the books clasped in my arms..
As I entered the corridors of the school building, eyes followed me and I could hear whispers.
“What did I do again?” I asked myself. I made way to the locker room to get my things.
Surprise filled me as I opened my locker. A bouquet of red roses was there. I couldn’t utter a word. I quickly looked around to see if anyone was there, but there wasn’t.
Who could have discovered my code and opened my locker? I never told my code to anyone, not even Mino or my mom!
“Is this set up?” Slowly, I removed the bouquet from my locker and saw a note.
Every time I see you
I couldn’t help but fall
I don’t know what to do,
Coz everything I could think about is YOU.“Eh?”
Hi. Don’t worry I’ll keep your code a secret. I told you that I’ll do things the right way, so here I am, starting to court you. Can I court you?
No isn’t accepted as an answer. *smiley face here*
I am falling for you Jendeukie. I’m falling hard.
Mr. Football Player
My jaw dropped to my knees. He must be kidding. Court me? Argh. A lot of questions occupied my mind. “Err---.” I bit my lower lip. Butterflies fluttered in my stomach. I really hate that feeling.
“Hey!” I heard Jisoo's voice. OH crap. He must not know anything concerning this. No one must know about this. I immediately put the roses back to the locker. I wasn’t able to close it so I just bent my back to the locker’s door.
“Oh, hi.” I smiled. “Are you not going to class?” I felt cold sweat running down my forehead.
“I was looking for you.”
“Uh, why?” Jisoo – looking for me?
He looked away. “Nothing. Just looking for you.” He smiled. “I’ll help with your things, then let’s go to class together.”
Together? What’s with Jisoo?
“I can handle my things. You can go first, I need to arrange my things in my locker.”
“I’ll help.” He quickly said. Crap, why now Jisoo?
He grasped the knob of the locker, but I pushed him lightly. My books fell. Instinctively, I kneeled and got the books forgetting that I hadn’t closed my locker.
The roses fell.
I saw Jisoo’s face change from :o to :(
“I need to pick my things without your help” I picked the flowers.
“You received roses?” Jisoo asked.
“Uh yeah?” I stood. I shouldn’t be answering these questions.
“From whom?” OOHH… I told you, I shouldn’t have.
“Never mind.” I put the flowers back into the locker and locked it. I faced him and he stared at me.
“Shall we go?” I smiled.
“You shouldn’t be receiving flowers!” OHHKAY. I was shocked. “I don’t want to go with you in the classroom.” He started to walk away.
A naughty thought entered my mind. “Are you jealous? Why are you acting like this?”
He looked back, “Me—jealous? Jealous your face.”
Oh. That wasn’t the answer I expected. He looked like this – >:( and he looked like a tomato about to explode. Ha-ha, it was funny. I was just kidding; I never thought he’d react like that. We were not even a couple and he acted like a jealous boyfriend.
I forced not to laugh but wasn’t successful.
But wait… was he jealous?
I felt my body shiver. “Naa. It can’t be. He’s not even into me.”
The day went on without Jisoo on my side. I wasn’t really used to that but I didn’t bother to approach him and ask him to talk to me. That’s so not me.
“Miss Lancoln, your grades are getting better. That’s a good report.” The teacher looked at Jisoo. “I suppose I can give Jisoo a high grade too.” I looked at him, but he didn’t look at me.
Dismissal time. Still no sign of Jisoo.
“Oh crap, I never thought my day would be dull without a Jisoo following me.” I also had no idea if we were going to have a tutorial. “He’s annoying.”
I went to the locker room and got the roses. I smiled. “When will I see him again?”
As I walked to the exit, I saw a shadow of a person leaning on the wall, holding something. I moved closer. It was Jisoo. He saw me and quickly hid the thing he was holding.
“Hi. Uhm… on your way home?” He asked me.
I nodded. He stood straight. “I’m sorry for what happened this morning. I shouldn’t have acted like that. It was embarrassing.” His face was red. Ha-ha.
I smiled. “Yea, it was.” The light atmosphere was back. “So, do we have tutorial today? It’s still early.”
“You said it. It’s still early. Let’s go somewhere to—to celebrate. You received higher grades right?” A smile flashed in his face. “Let’s go, my treat.”
He pulled my hand and I smiled. I missed him.
Then, I saw him holding a white rose with his other hand. I didn’t hesitate to ask, “Who is that for?”
He looked at me and I pointed the rose with my lips. He blushed. “Oh, this?” he paused. “It’s for you. You know, white—forgiveness, peace. I know it's so gay but--but I like the thought.”
I snatched it from his hand and put it on the bouquet of roses I received from Mr. Football player. “No. I don’t want you to put it there.” He removed the outstanding white flower from the red roses.
“Huh?” Weird.
“I am different and more special.” I laughed.
“Feeler.”
“Put it on your jeans’s pocket.” I followed.
He looked at it and smiled. Ha, INSANE. “I like it that way.” I laughed. He held my hand and we walked on.
I was happier, honestly. I couldn’t figure the feeling I had. It was a strange unknown happy feeling that I felt when he gave me the white flower, a merrier feeling than what I felt when Mr. Football gave me a bouquet of roses.
*sigh*
I am insane.
